*Joins group hug*

Wait....what's stinging in my back?

Mac Walters: "Hehe, surprise...."

Also, I'm not sure what the name of this writer was, but Drew does sound familiar.

I hope Bioware sees how good we react to his writing, and that they keep him for ME3.

I envy you Mass effect fans, who get to continue your shepard in a sequel, while us poor DA fans get our hero's dumped.

if mass effect 3 is like the new dlc, i think mass effect will be he first game to ever get a 100 overall on metacritic. Ok maybe it wont be perfect in every ones eyes but a lot will give it high high 90's

All games devide opinion that's the fun of reviews. You need to read tons to get some idea of how good or bad a game is because thngs to not appeal to everyone. Some prefered Overlord to LotSB some prefer ME 2 to ME and the latter has all sorts of reasons as to why people prefer one over the other. I don't doubt that ME 3 will devide opinion again i don't think any game will achieve perfection. But i hope for just as good an experience and as much fun playing it as ME and ME 2. The only downside to ME 3 i can see is that it's the end of the trilogy i doubt it's the end of Mass Effect itself but it'll be weird to not have another Shepard adventure to look forward to.

You sir are no DA fan! You don't even have a registered DA or a DA avatar! You are a MALIFICAR!
Someone go get the Templars! Quick!

But in all seriousness, I think they are changing Dragon Age this way, so that you may keep your new avatar (Hawk) from game to game.
Because lets be honest, while I adore Origans, and thought they were brilliant, and a great way of keeping the game interesting.... they also make the sequal damn hard to program for.... you have to come up with viable alternatives for 7(including the Orlias Warden Commander) origans. And don't even get me started on the amount of voice acting that would necessitate, unless you want another silent protagonist.

Honestly it looks like old school RPGs are becoming extinct, and thats not necessarily a bad thing, unless they do to the inventory looting system, what they did to Mass Effect 2.
If thats the case its time for pitchforks and torches..

PS: I would also join the group hug but Evil Chris keeps his knives sharp and within easy reach!

I try to think that maybe it's for the best. BioWare wants to do something different with DA2. I am incredibly disappointed that you don't get to play as th Warden and such, but I like to think (story wise) that he left in order to be happy with his LI (a red-haired girl in my case :P).

Let Hawke handle the world now ;)

Good for you, but I still think that ME2 was a downgrade from the first game and that BW really should have spent some more time with it.. ( a lot more time)

It was a great game, but it doesn't stand a chance when compared to the first one.. :(

Matter of opinion i have endless debates with friends on which is the best. I prefer the second gameplay wise and the first story wise. I felt Mass Effect had a really engaging story and Mass Effect 2 compensated for lack of a story by focusing on the story of squad mates. The collectors were a sort of distraction from the story of the reapers and it was a lil confusing. But i prefer Mass Effect 2's slick gameplay that runs way more smoothly with exciting action sequences, interupts and good transitions between cutscenes and gameplay. Plus i prefer Mass Effect 2's simple approach to inventory and upgrades all the stats and EXP just doesn't do it for me in a Sci Fi adventure.
