This moring I started my first game in Witch Hunt.
I've imported my Human Noble Warrior from Awakening (from just before the last fight), and my character got another specialization point for free.
That would be a fourth specialization point.
Is it normal?
Witch Hunt - new specialization point?

I wondered about that myself.
4 different specializations...
Is this another bug??
If not then what's the point??
Even at level 35, you can't get a practical level of dedication to 4 specializations and your basic skill trees all at once anyway!!

Hm, I didn't have a new spec point. Imported from Golems.

I played Origins -> Awakening -> Golems and now Witch Hunt and I have a new spec point available for my lvl 35 Human noble warrior

I wonder about that too. I got a fourth specialization point at the start of Witch Hunt. That character had been level 35 for a while.
He went in order through Origins -- Awakening -- Amgarrak -- Witch Hunt. Every time I had to import him in a new campaign, I stripped him naked to avoid any bug.
So, I don't know whether this fourth point is a bug or not. Anyone knows? That would suck to get an unintended specialization, as if that char wasn't already invincible >_>

I tried creating a new character for Witch Hunt only, and bumped his level up to 35. He only had 3 specialization points...
As long as my imported character has some point somewhere that is yet to be distributed when it is brought to Witch Hunt, there is the "+" sign near his portrait and inside awaits a fourth spec points. Having no spare points upon importing means the fourth spec point won't be accessible.
That is all I know for now, but it tends to say that this fourth point is probably a bug... Not going to assign it, then.

Choosing a spec adds some attributes in and of itself without having to choose any talents for the new spec. Yeah, I found it odd too that we'd be granted another spec point.
My imported characters are all level 35 by the time of Witch Hunt. They're the only ones who could make it through Golems - on Hard/Nightmare, of course.
OH WAIT A MINUTE - doesn't Witch Hunt DLC give you a free respec book? Theoretically, you could use the 4th spec point and respec your character. Of course, I'd save my char first before doing any of this in case I lose spec/talent/skill points in the process.
So, my mage could take on a challenging spec for Witch Hunt - like Shapeshifter. Yeah, finish the campaign as a Spider!
Have Morrigan refer to my hairy, webby spider as "my Love".
