They should just use wormholes. Those are theoretically possible and they don't violate physics. They're just short cuts across the universe.

There are other forms of theoretically possible FTL.  Besides, everybody using wormholes would be boring.  Still, most SF nowadays either implicitly or explicitly relies on some sort of direct interaction with and distortion of spacetime for FTL.  Wormholes are just a special case of that general concept.

A special case that's possible.

Both ME1 and ME2 use same button to skip dialogue line and to select response from wheel. On 4th+ playtrough when i usually skip 70% of dialogues it becomes painful. ("Accidental" Shiala execution ;/) But maybe it's Bioware's way of telling us "It's bad thing to skip dialogues. If you do it - you go to hell." :P

I agree! I hate selecting options by mistake all the time.

Another thing- on Xbox360 when you're reading e-mails and scrolling up or down it jumps like a paragraph. I lose track of where I was reading and it gets really annoying. I wish it worked like a webpage and scrolled down smoothly.

Yeah, nitpicking at it's finest. ^_^

And as I said: they're not the only one.  Besides which, there's nothing wrong with positing extensions to physics which allow for FTL travel in science fiction.  Such speculation is one of the reasons SF even exists in the first place.  What matters is the execution.

My biggest problem with the game is when someone throws something on the ground (like a thermal clip). At first I think- "What if it wasn't picked up? What if it's just laying there, collecting dust as the days, months, and years drag on with mundane frequency?"

Soon, all my thoughts are on that thermal clip. I can't concentrate on the game, I can't think, I can't sleep, and I even start to hyperventilate. I imagine as bugs crawl over it, men step by it, and the sun arches over and over again above it.

I start to scream, "Why would they just throw it on the ground like that? Don't they know that it's supposed to go in the same area as all the other thermal clips? You CAN'T just throw whatever you want wherever you want!!!!! The whole world will just descend into anarchy!!!!! We're not monkeys dammit!!!!"

Then I usually pass out for about six hours only to wake up and see Shepard standing in his same spot, waiting to pick a convo option.

So, in conclusion, add a "Pick up and place in proper spot" button.

**I think I have OCD, not sure though**

Just reiterating what UpsettingShorts said, although it feels less like a nitpick and more of a big problem: Bioware please give us a full 360 degree view of our customized characters; you know, kind of like what we see in DA: Origins. Would it also hurt to allow for different light settings and a simple phrase our character can say just to make sure he/she animates properly with their given features?

Another nitpick: the lack of fixed camera angles when sprinting. I'm less likely to crash or stick onto walls and more likely to pull off a turn if my right thumb is not burdened with having to press the A button and the Right stick.

Not being able to sit in chairs. I have no idea why it bothers me but it does.

The labels in the galaxy maps hide some galaxies.

The eyes in the cinematics sometimes have strange behaviours (cross-eyed).

PC controls. I can't use the mouse wheel for scrolling.

And the bathrooms. In ME1 there wasn't and in ME2 nobody uses them.

Though I realize you're likely talking about all bathrooms, as far as the Normandy SR-2 goes - the crew is too static and never move.  It'd be nice to see them getting around, doing their jobs, like in the crew of the SR-1 in the opening cinematic.  It actually looks like a working ship right before it gets blown up.

I do really want to be able to sit down in chairs.

I have little complaint that I am unable to walk in and find someone taking a dump.

I do think the Normandy needs more life.

Well, I was thinking about the normandy ones, but yeah, except that shifty looking turian that lives in the bathroom, noboby uses any of them. And I agree, that would be a fantastic addition. It would add life to the normandy.

Because it ****s all over the laws of physics.

Right, but... it's a plot device.  Always is.  Without it we're limited to our solar system and thus the stories are limited.  Don't get me wrong, I love realistic science fiction including but not limited to 2001: A Space Odyssey.  But faster-than-light, no matter how they choose to explain it, is always going to be a conceit of the genre.

Not necessarily.

Why are we fussing over fictional FTL travel in a fictional videogame when there are so many more important things to be nitpicking about, like the fact you can use a renegade interrupt on a meaningless mech but the one time a renegade interrupt is needed most, you don't have it, and are unable to punch the crap out of Delan the mechanic?

What kind of nitpicking thread would this be if we couldn't nitpick other people's nitpicks?

Ah yes, getting to use the scrollwheel in GUI lists and textboxes, would be great indeed, as would double clicking -- having to select an entry and hunt down a separate button to open it, gets old rather quickly these days.

Punch?

I'd like to shoot him in the foot , and Yes I'm fully aware that unlike Conrad, he doesn't have a kinetic barrier.

Tarak clips something fierce... it's not even a tiny clip or something that only occasionally happens when the camera bugs out. It happens EVERY TIME and we sit there staring into this empty cranium for several seconds. How did something like that make it into the final release?

Ugh, I'd slap the test team silly.

Or the devs if the test team actually did their jobs and they refused to do anything otherwise.

1. Codex entries say that FTL works by constantly accelerating until the midway point in a jump, then turning the ship around for equal constant deceleration. The Paragon option for a discount in Saronis Applications on the Citadel even makes a joke of it. SO WHY IS THE SHIP ALWAYS FACING FORWARD COMING OUT OF JUMPS?

2. If Joker is covering your escape from the collector base with an assault rifle (that magically doesn't break his arm), who's flying the ship? Shouldn't someone else be doing that?

3. Every time the camera focuses on someone in a combat cut scene, they [manually chamber a round in] their gun. How do you [manually chamber a round in] a mass accelerator? Further, wouldn't that be unnecessary after carving through piles of thugs? (Also, as mentioned above thermal clips bug the hell out of me.)

4. A face mask will not protect you from hard vacuum, extreme temperatures or your eyes from toxic gases like chlorine. I know you want the game to look cool. Make cool helmets. They can be retractable, as has been suggested elsewhere.

5. At LEAST make the Quarians' accents SIMILAR. I don't know if they're British, American or Middle Eastern. I understand that they came from several colonies and possibly had nationalities as we do now, but after 300 years of speaking the same language and living VERY close, you'd expect at least a little more similarity.

That's all I've got for now.

Edited because the profanity filter wisely blocks the word for what you do to manually chamber a round in a firearm.

Someone is: EDI.  She did it during the Collector attack too.  That and I'm sure that autopilot technology capable of just floating in one spot and then moving off in a straight line while the pilot heads back to the cockpit exists.  The skycars have autopilots that are capable of much more than that, so I'm pretty sure the military-grade versions can do that too.

There are no stalls and no lock on the door.  If I needed a dump, I think I'd hold it in til we landed somewhere.

It's alright for Shepard with his/her fancy, flushable, private loo. <_<
