Am I the only one that hates downloadable content?

I hate downloadable content for several reasons.

I spend too much on the game already, and hate to have to purchase Microsoft Points, or whatever else.

Also, once I finish the game, it's over. There is no going back. I'm  no longer used to the controls for the particular game, have forgotten parts of the storyline, and it's simply not as much fun to go back and play a partial game.

Downloadable content leaves me feeling cheated that I wasn't given the full game in the first place with my nearly $70 spent on the typical new release

Of course, much of this is rendered moot as I decided that I've been wasting far too much money on short-lived games, and have just subscribed to GameFly. I figure this will save me hundreds of dollars each year, and I won't miss the downloadable content at all.

I'm just wondering if anybody else feels the same way. It seems I read a lot of comments about enjoying these additions, but can't imagine that I'm the only one that finds them disagreeable for the reasons stated above.

And the only way of knowing if you'll like it is to buy it (ie. try the liver). If you don't like it, fine. if you like it, also fine. The liver is there for you if you like it. there is never a "you will always like liver" guarantee here, because some people just don't like liver.

What gets me is that a lot of people who don't like liver still want the liver, which is why they keep complaining about not getting liver in their meal even though they don't like and will never like liver!
