OK I’m going to confess to something. When I bought the classic edition of Mass effect I also spent 400 points buying bring down the sky ...only to find out  it came free with the classic edition I just boughtImage IPB I felt like SUCH an idiot I thought it  just came with a bonus disk with trailers and interviews *face palm*

*edit*

that's what I meant and yay, top of the page, now everyone can read my "duuuuuuuuuuh" moment ^_^

Okay, ... that really is an unfortunate Duh-Moment. Though how did you charge for the DLC if it was free for users anyway?

I managed to forget the heavy pistol upgrade on Thanes loyalty mission several times even though I knew it was there.

Ooooh... That would have been good to know.

The fact that the toilet in Shepard's room is flush-able. Went in there after Shadow Broker for kicks and noticed for the first time that it was click-able. It was very cool for about 10 seconds.

One more "D'oh" moment to add, during my first playthrough, when controlling Joker while the Collectors were on board. I wasn't paying attention to EDI so I didn't know to follow the blinking floor lights. I had to sit through Joker getting killed by the same Praetorian 5 friggin' times. I have no excuse worth mentioning.  Image IPBImage IPBImage IPB
(But I did make sure to turn the subtitles back on from that point on)

I wonder how many people are quitting their browser, running Mass Effect 2, FTL-Warp into the Commanders Quarters and start flushing their toilets for about five minutes from now on.

At least I can proudly say that when I found the toilet, I also found I could flush said one immediately ... and have to admit I did it like seven times in a row with a wierd smile on my face.

Not as hard as that one (really, ... ouch), but the moment I noticed that ...

****SHADOWBROKER DLC SPOILER****

Vasir's Car ejected some red glowing thing immediately marked by that nice warning-reddish triangle during the car chase I almost instantly changed course and hit it pinpoint just to have Liara tell me it is a proximity mine two seconds later Image IPB

I always found that funny, probably because it served no purpose to flush it, I guess.

It was to cool to see Shep's reflection in the mirror though, pretty nifty game detail IMO.

The biggest moment of epic fail that I've ever had in Mass Effect - in my first playthrough, I couldn't figure out how to reload the gun. Shepard stood there punching husks while they just walked into her. For a while, I thought it was impossible to get Shepard killed on Casual, but then it finally happened. Death by husks flailing around in front of Shepard. Critical Mission Failure.

I've never seen that extra vision on Eden Prime either. I didn't even know it was on Eden Prime until I read it here.

@Hyrule_Gal: Is the DLC included on the disc, or was it a free download? Because if it is on the disc, that's another "d'oh" moment for me, looking all over for a copy of ME1 and finally buying an older one used before I realized that the only store I didn't check had the new version.

Apparently I've missed that cutscene on Eden Prime in the first one.

That, and dying in the M-44 when I screwed up the controls. I drove right into the lava hitting what I though was the boost key.

It was to no avail, as I found out =(

I'm away from my xbox and my games right now but I THINK (might be wrong) you need to put  the second disk in and THEN you go to the download screen and the option for a free download comes up  . Since I didn't do that I didn't realize I had the option , I was like "I'll watch the behind the scenes later" and impulsively bought bring down the sky Image IPB

I almost did something similar, while going from one ledge to another, I hit the wrong button & jumped up instead of boosting forward, luckily I was able to keep hitting the boost button to "climb" back up.

Of course, while we're on the same subject, with the M-44, I do recall finding out the hard way just how thin  the armor on it is.

I didn't realize Liara was a actual squadmate with her own powers that I can level till just before I met the shadow broker. I thought she was just sn npc who followed all mission. I saw her using singularities but I didn't think I had control of her like a regular squaddie

G'ack! *smacks forehead*
Oookie, there (replaying)... Some big nasty warp to spam, along with the usual incinerate and dual area reave and there is even less reason to ever fire a bullet... :P

I have the Platinum Hits version and BDTS DLC is on the second disc.

Edit: If you don't have a copy with the second disc, it is only 80 MS points right now.

Heh, I have some doozies, primarily from ME1:

- After at least two plays through I realized that I could walk past Captain Ventralis at Noveria's Rift Station and there were people, lots of dialog, and assignments there. I always wondered about the "Sneaking In"/"Breaking In" journal entries, as well as the map marker noting a store... and the fact that Ventralis actually tells you there are people there. But I always made straight for the Hot Labs like the gullible Shepard I was.

- After more plays through than I care to count, I realized I had never done the Spacer origin assignment, thus no conversations with or messages from Mama Shep. Who actually uses those Ward access lifts anyway?

- I never found the Eden Prime cutscene next to the beacon until I read about it somewhere.

- It took several times through before I realized the confrontation with Saren on Virmire could take place at either the bomb site or by the AA towers based on choices made.

As for ME2:

- During Kasumi's mission, I wasted a bunch of Arc Projector ammo on the machinery that blows a hole in the wall. Kasumi kept saying something like "it's going to take a lot more firepower than that" but I assumed it was a bug with the DLC heavy weapon... only to realize later that there is a big cannon you can activate.

- First time through, putting Thane in charge of the "distraction team." Damn you, Miranda. Damn you.

My Xbox doesn't get connected online, so that's why I was trying to find out if the DLC is on the disc. Thanks for the info, I'll buy the Platinum Hits version.

Oh, speaking of Novaria, took me a few playthroughs to realize that after the battle in that garage, the security chief stands in the doorway and you can have another dialogue with her. Before that I just drove away.

-The bathroom, of course. Just suddenly fell through the door one time and was like "wtf? This was here the whole time?"

-Only recently discovered that if you talk to EDI after the suicide mission she no longer has blocks on questions about Cerberus. I just assumed her dialogue would never change.

My Duh moment was when after 2 playthroughs of ME2 i noticed that you can mix the the blue drink with the with the red drink to make a purple drink in the bar in the normandy lounge that comes with the Kasumi DLC. Also did not hear joker looking at porn till i saw on youtube.

This happened to me too. Except I lost track because I got distracted by the keepers, which made me feel even more silly.
Another one is blowing myself up with the Cain. It has happened more than once.
