There has been many posts floating around about nudity and sexuality in general.
But there never have been a comment or an anwser from the devs saying they will implement it or not.

So can any of the devs tell us if there will be nudity or not? And explain why you made that discision?
And if you did decide to implement it, to what extent? Like, will only mythical creatures (broodmothers) will be nude? Or humans as well?

My guess? There will be no nudity because for some weird reason the human body is considered EEEeevil in the USA

One of the devs (I think it was from David Gaider at PAX) said that DA2 nudity level would be about the same as that in DAO.

Well, nudity certainly helps create gritty images sometimes. Naked bodies in torture chamber for example.

It's just a product of the world we live in. Apparently, going around slaughtering hundreds of people/animals/whatever, all the while someone cracks a joke or two about the manner of their deaths is considered acceptable. On the other hand, God forbid if someone actually sees a naked ass.

I guess that depends on what you would call "nudity".

For some people in the States, a person is considered "naked" if they aren't wearing a shirt, but have pants on- and are male. It depends, for most people, on what a person is (or isn't) wearing and what is showing.

I personally don't care either way.

I am somewhat bemused that nudity is fine on a demonic or hideous creature, yet is not viable on an attractive npc. Personally I'm not all that fussed either way, however the whole accepting of brutal violence whilst shying away from even partial nudity thing is quite ridiculous IMO.

That's what you get when crazed, irresponsible parents would rather shove their responsibilities onto the government and others instead of actually paying attention to their damned kids. Heaven forbid they see a pixelated naked boob before they're 20 - treating human beings as dolls and blowing their limbs off, however? That's just American!

Don't worry, the Deviant Art modders will have your precious nudity within a week of release.

Maybe in a logical world. The Hot Coffee controversy started because people dug into the files to mod it out, and people have jumped on Oblivion for things that were entirely third-party.

Yes, it's in real life, but what you should ask is this game simulation of real home life.

Is Dragon age about building house, romance, love and have sex with companion, see them nude. Look the threads what many of have created. This isn't anymore Dragon Age, it's SIMS. It's like some people wants to play home with virtual barbi dolls. There is different to create good game atmosphere, impression and virtual world what feels real and changing it to home simulation. Dragon Age's main weight is shifting from battle and adventure to playing home with virtual dolls.  That's not Dragon Age anymore, it's sims.

god I hope not, the love scenes in all bioware games are comic releif it reminds me of the maranet sex in Team America.

just stick to implied scenes and voice acting.

Yes, i know, what you mean, but if the kids want, then they take movies or other things, to see, what they want. The parents must take influence of their kids, this is the only one way. My biggest son is 20. I know, what i say.(Please forgive my bad english, i´m germanPosted Image)

Unfortunately, that atmosphere is hampered by unrealistic usage of underwear during sex.

The major problem is immersion. I don't really care for the lovemaking (it's nice to have), I just dislike the fact that it feels so dumbed down because parents can't be bothered to monitor their kids.

It makes no sense when sex, violence, etc is all perfectly acceptable in other forms of media (look at art, television, movies, etc), but not in video games (games banned for being too violent when films have done worse? Games badmouthed for a bit of side-boob when nudity is common in mature rated films?).

Honestly it's more of a matter of principle. Why don't we have the rights? We're not actively participating in said lucid scenes (Hot Coffee is a crude exception) we're merely the story tellers, leading the path towards said points, just as an author points to it in a book of film.

It boils down to the fact that most parents are too prideful to blame themselves for the "damage" done to their kids, when they are in fact, the ones causing it.
