Turns out I don't pay enough attention to what I'm uninstalling, and I uninstalled ME1 instead of ME2 including game saves. I do have my ME2 saves backed up, which includes the imported stuff from ME1. Is it possible to use the import saves in a fresh install of ME1? Or is it simply not compatible/right format?
Only looking to use my femshep's face for a new playthrough...I could really care less about the new game + stuff, but alas!

Nevermind, answered my own question. Backwards importing FTW!!!
Save format is the same, and i mean the me1 saves and the me1 imported saves on me2 are the same. Just needed a little renaming.

Oh, sorry. I thought you meant to move your face from an ME2 save into ME1. The copies it makes in the 'imported' folder are identical so yes they would work.
