Making an example out of people shouldn't be doing this as personal reputaitons are supposed to be set up, but it seems to be. Fixing these has been requiring a custom faction. The other thing that should be working but isn't is that speak triggers that are set to once only aren't enforcing that, so I've had go go back and replace them with custom scripting. Well, you didn't need those npc's anywayShaughn78 wrote...
Do I feel lame. I was blinded by killing gensai that I never paid any attention to the middle, biggest room.
Posted a few more things. At some point a bunch of NPC tunred hostile. Probaly in bewteen now and my last post of the wiki.
Hostile NPCs:
The imps & Canahsaael at the G. Demon stronghold before I attack the O demon stronghold,
Tellner and malhinion @ my stronghold hostile.
The only thing I can think of causing this is I killed 2 of the 3 families outside of my stronghold. They wouldn't support me so I made an example of them....

Give me a few days and I should get caught up in the bugs reported over the past week.Games For Learning wrote...
I'm going to try this out. I've had a hard time playing evil characters, but perhaps it was because of the poorly made games, not me

I'm more concerned about the story than the bugs (although I'll do my best to find them). If the story is a good one and evil makes sense, then I know I'll enjoy it. I've often found that evil characters don't prosper the way I suspect that they should.

The wiki in my sig lists all the current open and fixed bugs, as well as onces that are fixed but I haven't released the fix yet.Games For Learning wrote...
Hi Kamalpoe,

I'm going to be putting up an update that will fix over a hundred things in the next day or two. Most aren't so serious, but at least one is a main quest breaker.

Kamal here are a few screenshots of the building issues I'm having in the stronghold.
Tower
Temple
I have just about finished the city of the dead. That is a fun area and a monsterous challange. The end boss Nekilzabhua does he have any vulnerabilities? I am hitting him with everything I've got to hurt him and get rid of his resistances and protections and going nowhere.

It looks like you are getting the building upgrades built. That's actually different than when I tested. When I tested they don't build (they aren't supposed to, in Path of Evil you just upgrade the interiors because the buildings are Samarach models which don't have "destroyed" options).
wp_planar_inn is the entry waypoint on the other side of the door in the stronghold basement you weren't able to go through.

To expand on this a bit. I set out to make a module for evil players, making the player the villain heroes would normally be chasing down. In a traditional adventure the player is only reacting to the villain, and the villain defines what the heroes must do to succeed. The villain defines the path for the typical hero.Shaughn78 wrote...
Games For Learning, this will be the first times I will complete a NWN2 game playing evil. The story makes sense especially since it isn't just do the opposite of what the good people are doing.
What I decided this meant in game terms was the player needed to have a lot of freedom to decide just what their goals were without being told by the local friendly wizard/ruler/druid etc. Villains do not have friendly wizards telling them what to do every step of the way, they have overarching goals and then figure out how they want to accomplish them.
Path of Evil has an overarching goal, and provides some vague suggestions on how to go about it. So for instance you as a player might be told you need something in city X, but it's up to you to figure out where it is and how to get it. As a result it might seem to be "story-lite", but in an evil campaign the player/villain makes their own story as they go. Path of Evil does have a story from the traditional good angle, but this story is not told to the player, you just see parts of it in action. There are things in Path of Evil that are part of this traditional story, good aligned adventurers are hired to hunt you down for instance, and should you wish you can engage in insulting them before fights like a villain stereotypically does.
In terms of the NWN2 OC, Path of Evil is akin to playing as Ammon Jerro
before Ammon joins the OC player. Ammon is shown via cutscenes doing
various evil things to achieve an unspecified goal. When the player
finally talks to Ammon, it becomes evident that Ammon has a goal and
just what that goal is, but Ammon does not know exactly what needs to be
done to accomplish this (or presumably he would long since have done
it). Since he doesn't know exactly what needs to be done, Ammon has
tried a number of things in pursuit of his goals.
I should mentions that the campaign does not always take itself entirely seriously. A serious evil campaign would simply not be very fun. There's plenty of spots that allow you to poke fun at things a regular villain might do. There's joke items that are worthless, silly gravestone carvings (a Baldur's Gate tradition), optional "monologing" to heroes, ranting companions. Many evil things you can also simply refuse to do. Being an evil villain does not mean you believe in slavery for instance, you may have a personal code that views slaves as unreliable potential hero helpers. The "Evil Overlord List" was certainly consulted.

Burnheart, I have found that I enjoy playtesting more than just playing. I guess I just enjoy being a "Opinionated back seat driver " though so far I have yet to find a puppy to kick...

With the piece in my inventory I hit the trigger and it says I now have all the pieces but Tam doesn't say anything
.
Forged the crown but no update to my journal. Also when i ask Tam about the crown he still tells me he wants to see it reforged.
At first I was a little disapointed when I got the corwn. My AC dropped! Already had a cloak of protection +4 for when the AC changed from dodge(shard) to delfection (helmet) it threw me off. A quick equipment adjstment and I'm back to an AC of 40. I did notice while other bonuses where added the regeneration and arcane spell failure decrease by 20% were dropped by the change. I'd suggest that you'd at least consider putting the spell failure @ 20% with the crown too. Since an arcane player will need to adjust armor if they multiclassed or worse took a light armor feat during levelup since they didn't have tpo worry about the failure. Oh yah, I'm not wearing a crown, my player is running around with a demonic farmer's hat........
Also I applogize for the wiki with the garnet dragon entry. First I indented it now it is a sliding field. Don't know how I did either. ?????

The last 2 areas.....
Outer area. I started from the end and tried to clear it. I was barely able to kill the 2 planatears near the exit. The next battle I tried was the 2 solars. With these 2 battle they each took multiple attempts drained every spell and ability I had and most of the times I was horribly slaughter. I was next able to defeat the solars and decided that area's challange rating is a little beyond, especially since I had yet to meet and off the walk celestial shooting arrows or spells at me.
Inner area. The magical bridge is too narrow and is misserable to fight on. I tried to put my melee at the front, arcane and missile at the back with the cleric in the middle. With the narrow walk mesh the cleric was useless, she was unable to get to both the front and the back to heal. If the arcane caster had a spell with a shorter range she would be unable to move forward to cast it. I would suggest making that bridge twice the width so you can use some tatic other then trying to lure the enemies to cross the bridge one at a time while you sit on the far end.
I assume Seremamon & Ihasiel are the end battle. Again their challange rating is beyond doable, at least for my party. I did download the modified version of the end module and they are lvl 18. I am unable to get past their damage resistance and spell resistance. Melee characters are useless against their blade barriers while my arcane and divine are spending all their time trying to remove protections and resistances. The Celestials ignore the melee and cast their abilities and use their arrows to rip apart the arcane and divine casters in short order.

One thing you posted to the wiki was the camera was difficult to control in the last two areas because of the elevation. That one is unusual, since default the elevation for the player in those areas is 0, the same as anywhere else.

Conversation for maximum compatibility. All the abilities and drawbacks are logical given his condition as explained by his introductory conversation though, so you wouldn't need to ask specifically about them. For instance, he has a -10 penalty to appraise since he really shouldn't have any clue what anything is worth given his status when you get him. On the other hand the benefit of being immune to disease is logical given his state.Shaughn78 wrote...
Will he have an explaination of his abilities in his conversation or will you be creating a custom feat to show all his abilities? If you choose the feat route it will interfere with kaedrin's stuff unless you use his feat 2da.

Another little thing. So far I've noticed that you can't play dress up with Alira or Carcarin, ie, their armor doesn't change if you change it. I like to play dress up. Also, Carcarin and Laisera have the same head, just tinted different, it's a minor thing, but i like a little variety.
