So exactly why would Flemeth help to get herself killed?
She wouldn't. But sometimes plans have risks and unexpected things happen. Or maybe she gets old and careless, or soft, who knows.

And that is the reason to teach Morrigan a strange otherwise unknown ritual?
I still think, Flemeth may be a godchild herself, but of course thats all speculation and we probably have to wait for another 2 or 3 years until we know more. Of course...again...it'll depend on how important Flemeth will be in DA2.

And who says she was killed? Personaly I suppose it was just a show for the Warden and Morrigan. Just imagine a picture:Gerudan wrote...

Warden: Hooray! I'm a mighty Warden! I've killed ancient abomination of legends! All hail me! *leaves the area*
Flemeth *opens eyes*
Warden (in camp): Morrigan, I've killed your mother as I promised
Morrigan: My hero!
Flemeth *watches from nearby bushes and sniggers quietly*

Well maybe she wants the baby. Nobody can really answer you why, since nobody knows yet. DG maybe but I doubt he's gonna spoil it. Well the babe is male though, so there might be a lead. I mean, Flemeth, god child, female. Morrigan's baby, godchild, male ... who knows.

Tht still wouldn't indicate, that Flemeth is an Archdemon.

I was reading CODEXs and found something interesting about old gods and there names
...........................................................
Dumat, the Dragon of Silence and the archdemon of the First Blight
Zazikel, the Dragon of Chaos and the archdemon of the Second Blight
Toth, the Dragon of Fire and the archdemon of the Third Blight
Andoral, the Dragon of Chains and the archdemon of the Fourth Blight
Urthemiel, the Dragon of Beauty and the archdemon of the Fifth Blight
Razikale, the Dragon of Mystery
Lusacan, the Dragon of Night
...........................................................
You see Razikale if female name who could be a reference to Raziel the "angel of mystery/God's secret"
So there is possibility that Razikale might be Flemeth itself and it might be more or equal powerful as Dumat which was strongest one as we know. Dumat was so strong that it took 90 years to stop blight and third of Thedas nation was dead. So if if Flemeth really is Razikale than we might have huge changes and only wardens or champions wont be enough to stop all this chaos, so this is were Morrigans child comes in. Since he is old God (Urthemiel) he has more chance to stop Flemeth than any one else .....
well what do you think?
Actually, it took almost 200 years to stop the Blight and almost the whole of Thedas was overrun, not just a third.

It could be, I mean there's certainly more to Flemeth than what we've learned so far.
Out of curiousity has a dev said that when a blight is ended that the old god's sould is obliterated? Than was kind of what I got from the dicussion with Rhiordan and then again with Morrigan about the DR. And if so, what happens when all 7 old gods are destroyed?

Since they breed like ants, I doubt dealing with the lots of them will be as easily as it was sugested by Duncan in the Fade..

How do the Grey Wardens know where the Gods sleep? Have they followed the Calling? How do they know for certain that those are Old Gods? They might think they know, even be certain that they know, but why does that have to mean they're right? They could be wrong.
Flemeth could also be an Old God that's been released just like Morrigan's child. That the Grey Wardens believe they have the bodies of the last four wardens who killed archdemons doesn't mean that they actually do have those bodies.
Also, if Flemeth were an Old God, maybe the reason nobody hears her Calling is because she's turned it off.
I don't believe that she's one of the 7 Old Gods, but I don't see why that would be impossible.

A Grey Warden killed her: He and Flemeth both should have died. Since they didn't, Flemeth isn't an Archdemon...
I didn't play Witch Hunt so I can't say how likely I think Flemeth is an old god or some similar creature.

Witchhunt brings sorta closure to the Warden-Morrigan thing, but it doesn't really offer new information about Flemeth. She is planning something, something big, but we knew that already.

The Archdemon can be killed even if you are not a Warden. I suspect they killed him but his soul escaped into a darkspawn and so he was reborn. What rather surprises me is how they save it for 400 years.

This doesn't make any sense, Dumat was a dragon. So how could it's soul escape into another darkspawn. Wouldn't it have to be another dragon? Or an ancient high dragon. My theory. Dumat may have been slain, but it's soul escaped. Not into another darkspawn, but into a young mage :] a Beutiful young mage, a Mage married to lord connobar, nudge nudge hint hint.
But in all serious, I Am in serious doubt of how they got the blood. The codex says they were grey wardens and that they drank the blood..but where did the blood come from...It's just confusing.

also in the joining alistair says something along the lines of "and so the first grey wardens drank of darkspawn blood"
does it say somewhere else they drank archdemon blood? in our joining we just had to gather regular darkspawn blood

Nope It was either in codex or from duncan himself that darkspawn blood wasn't potent enough and they needed a drop of archdemon blood to make the transformation. Ordinary darkspawn blood would just turn them into ghouls.Xanduin123 wrote...
just as flemeth says "names are pretty, but useless" (even though i am curious, who knows what bioware has come up with for her)
