I'm having trouble doing Legion's loyalty mission before the crew is abducted by the Collectors. I leave 1 or 2 N7 missions untouched, but the moment I go to the galaxy map after getting the Reaper IFF, I have to "take the shuttle."

What gives? Do I really have to leave that many N7 missions open in order avoid getting the crew abducted so soon, or is something screwed up with the game?

Every Mass Effect 2 guide I've read says that the crew abduction isn't triggered until you do two missions after getting the Reaper IFF, and it seems odd that my experiences would so badly contradict all of them.
