Our server is currently in beta testing and construction, and not under regular play. We are seeking anyone interested in joining us, in any way. We are gearing up for beta testing and have begun work on our forums and website at greycliff.org. You can also find us at #greycliff on irc.darkmyst.org. Screenshots and more information!
- Harcore roleplay. Not in the sense of, "why haven't you roleplayed your character using a chamberpot? It's been a whole day!" but in the sense that we enjoy crafting and experiencing stories together.
- Players effect the world. Player's efforts will slowly cause the server's level cap to rise for all players.
- Low level. Characters start at level one and advance best through quests and DM'd events. The absolute maximum level is 16, and a server-wide "soft cap" to maximum level is applied based on how much the area has been developed by players.
- Low magic. Magic is uncommon. Higher-end equipment is mundane.
- Custom setting geared towards accomplishing the above ideals. Specifically, many of the troubles players will face are not in the form of flaming evil demons but in the form of other people (often human) with their own troubles. This allows for a far greater range of solutions, reactions, and actions.
- Players can change the module. In fact, the server is specifically geared towards encouraging characters to be an active part of not only their town but the world itself. Levels are capped relative to the development of the town, and it's development is up to them. Want to start a rebellion? Alright. Want to quelch it? Also alright! We value characters of all alignments and their effect on the world.
- Implemented systems so far include CEP 2.3, yearly seasons and weather, player stores, fishing, natural resource crafting, persistent chests & banking, KOTOR heads, and random quests.
