That tune reminds me of my smoking days, like last week. The drum solo in In a Gadda Da Vida sounded amazing.

Well since you said you lived in LA during the 90s here's:
Jah Skillz
5 Footaz (a girl group)
If that isn't to your liking, I don't know anyone who dislikes MC Lyte

@Tazzmission Another Cube fan! Maybe you haven't heard this song which wasn't on any of his albums, but instead on the soundtrack of a terrible movie completely undeserving of it.

Huh? I'm not from LA. Most of my stuff is East coast.
Sorry about that, I got confused. Creature of the Wheel was the one from L.A.
Anyway, youtube makes everything easy, but the last album I bought was from this guy: Z-Ro
I always recomend Bis to people who think hip-hop is all brainless posturing.

A Question:
What is the difference between Rap, Hip Hop and R&B ?
Rap: Usually steady beats or repeated ones that basically have a artist rapping over them. Lyrics usually controversial or "real".
Hip-hop: Like rap, but can contain infulences from different music styles
R&B: It means Rythem and blues. Singing not rapping. And is like a modern blues. EX: Mary J. Blidge.
These are just the superficial meanings.
