A Question:
What is the difference between Rap, Hip Hop and R&B ?
Rap: Usually steady beats or repeated ones that basically have a artist rapping over them. Lyrics usually controversial or "real".
Hip-hop: Like rap, but can contain infulences from different music styles
R&B: It means Rythem and blues. Singing not rapping. And is like a modern blues. EX: Mary J. Blidge.
These are just the superficial meanings.
Hiphop lives [language warning]

Rap is just the vocals. Hiphop is the blend of rap, the beat, the dance, the art, etc.
R&B has regular lala la singing.

I wasn't aware anyone actually listened to it because they actually enjoyed it.

Don't people just listen to rap so they can better associate themselves with the clubbin' scene or so they can look like "playas"?

Mate, it's music, if you dont like it why are you posting in here. I dont like most hip hop, just the good stuff and it aint the only genre of music I like, personally I think it's foolish to only like one genre. If you think real hip hop is about clubbing and being ''playas'' you aint listening to hip hop, you're listening to sh*t. Honestly most music thats on tv is sh*t. and thats why I dont watch music channels.
