I fianlly found a spot to hang my lithos. I'll retake these pictures when I have better lighting, getting alot of glare on them.

Nice arrangement: I tend to go for the "random" or "however many I can cram into this space" type myself, but I quite like the aesthetics and symmetry of your display.

After MONTHS, I finally got my Illusive Man framed and have it and The Wards
both hanging up on the wall! All I have left is my Normandy and two minis (Citadel and Minuteman), but I'll have to keep it safe because this is getting a little expensive. I had both of these done at Michael's and got the 60% off "deal" they're running all the time...The cost was about $170 for each and included the wood, two mattes, and UV glass. I'm so excited, they both look amazing!

Nice, albeit expensive! :o After some initial scepticism, I'm really starting to quite like this double mount thing, I may have to steal some ideas. :)

Edit: darned formatting.  Thanks for repeatedly logging me out too, bloody forum software. <_<

I also have got a Garus in the 12x16 and a Mini set of the 9x12

Im just wondering where everyone is getting there frames from because im finding it hard to get these lithos framed without having to goto a professional frame shop which is starting to cost some big $$$$

Hey munnz. If you read the very first post on page one (my original post) you'll see what I did to frame mine. I am from Australia as well and I've been to all the shops here and couldn't find anything cheap enough. The best I could find here was $300+ per frame with UV protection (because Aussies don't know what plexiglass is) So I went online, I got 5 frames, plus shipping, plus currency conversion (back when the USD used to be stonger) all for less than the price or one frame here...so yea. It's the way to go.

So, go check out that post. :)

Munnz, I ordered frames for my mini-lithos from www.frameshop.com.au. Just head to the site and click on the 'order empty picture frames' button on the upper right side of the page. I was very impressed with the quality, price and speed of the service - I got two frames, with mats and non-reflective glass for about $50 each + $20 shipping, and they arrived by courier in three days. By comparison, custom framing from a retail store was going to run me about $100 each, and even just reglazing a stock frame with non-reflective glass was going to be about $70 with a 3 week turnaround.

The only disadvantage is that you have to mount and insert your prints yourself. One option is to buy or make mounting corners and you should be able to get acid-free adhesives from any craft shop, or just drop them in the frames if you're not using mats.

For reference, I used a 1.5cm black wood frame with 2.5cm navy blue mats and non-reflective glass. I'm incredibly happy with the end result and will definitely be using their services again in future. Hope that's helpful! ^_^

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this yet, but what do you guys use to hang your framed lithos?

I have a few awaiting frames, but this has been poking at my curiosity a bit. I imagine with the frames there's a small amount of weight there, but most of the hooks that, say, stick on for easy removal, cannot hold much at all.

I'm allowed to make holes in the walls of my apartment, thank goodness, but of course smaller would be better. Are you guys just using nails? Somehow I can't imagine... >.>'

I'm using nails on mine. 2-3/8" Coated Sinker's to be exact. Seem to be no real issues, even ignoring studs in the wall, ect. HOWEVER, they do leave a fairly large hole in the wall after being pulled out...but even push pins can leave unsightly holes on my walls. At any rate...I need to get a caulking agent in order to fill up some of the holes I've ended up changing around....but I've been buying for a while now, and think I'm about used up on this. It's getting too expensive...and the quality of the art has, for the most part, gone down, in favor of producing a more appealing subject matter.

I bought pretty standard picture hooks from wilkinsons. You can get 5 or 10 for a couple of £. They have 2 small nails. Have worked fine for me in the past.

I use 2 medium duty picture frame hangers per frame. My frames are so large that i dont want to take a chance that it will break.

Hey guys, I just got my mini-lithos in the mail today and was thinking of framing them.  Except that the pictures all have a crease in them.

Do you guys think I can get them out?

Ouchy.

But yea, it didn't really make any folds or anything, so if you sandwhich it between the backing and the glass it should straighten out nicely.

Anyone know what is the best place to order custom frames? The new Team lithograph is of a ridiculous size and no one is selling 39.5 x 22 frames.

go back to the first post. Hollywoodposterframes.com probably the cheapest place to get a decent frame. If you want it matted...Michaels usually has one sale or another going on where you can get the frames for around 200 bucks. For my Kirkwall, I bought an oversized frame for about 50 bucks, and then a few sheets of matte paper to make the rest of the background white. It looks decent enough...for now...but not a long term solution.

I'm in the process of trying to decide if I want to sell some of my lithos. I have a dozen or so Mass Effect, all the DA ones except PoP, two of all the DS ones, and the alice one. It's interesting, because a lot of these I would actually PREFER to have a mini of (ie most the more popular ones) but don't believe that THBS will continue to produce or produce at a reasonable size. I'd LOVE to replace my Cerberus with a mini...but a 12x16 mini instead of a 9x12

Thanks for that link, Iriorne - very helpful! For the 18x24 it looks like that's going to cost around $110+ shipping..but yeah, that's cheaper than you can find in the shops.

Sorry if posted already but if you have a Target store nearby, you can check out these frames. I know someone who got them for the ME2 lithos and they look great. Cheap too if you're not too picky and bought a lot over the years.

For my collection I use a local framing store that's been in business for about 50 years or so. They do a good job, it's just quite a slow wait for the owner to finish matting and framing them. He's 87 so I give him some leeway =P

I was barely able to fit my entire collection into one picture last time. Now with the new lithographs and getting my hands on the Liara litho I don't know if it will be possible this time...

It might have no windows but it certainly has a locked door. At least it does now... =P

Though I'm pretty much resigned to having the lithographs wrap around the entire room now instead of all on one wall. I'll still attempt to get them all in one picture once they are all framed though.

I'm done framing this stuff. Bioware is just releasing the lithos at random now. I'll wait until all the lithos are out and then pick which ones I might frame.
