What's a Brinks truck? and will this also work for international customers?

um...you should probably test shipping of frames to a few places before proceeding.(EU,US, AUS,ENG, somewhere close to the store) imagine one quarter of all shipments arrived damaged. ek!

also depends on the actual image and frame.+overcharging on the framing might put some people off if they can get the whole thing done cheaper separately.
but it does sound good- under the conditions i mentioned earlier.

anyway OT: setting out how to frame these on my walls is a pain! i dont have enough wall room! >:|

Heavily armored trucks that banks use to move sums of money - basically a mobile vault...so I'm fairly sure that was  a Jedi mind-trick-joke...     ...so no, they probably wont be shipped internationally in Brinks trucks...though I'm sure the Store will figure out something.

Yeah, a 39x22 plus custom framing sounds like a pretty costly item. Makes me curious to see which image this will be...Also, the framing could be a little iffy since a few people have purchased matching frames for their lithos, but I can't imagine it would be a huge deal if they just hang it somewhere else. I mean, if they want it bad enough, they'll get it.

On the 39 x 22 Lithograph, I'm all for it on paper. I don't care about the frame matching my other lithos, because, 1. It's a much larger size, so a different design doesn't bother me. 2. It's not a ME 2 litho, so I can just try and find frames styles to match it for my other DA lithos.

The real sticking points to me, are run size, and price. Outside of the quality of the artwork obviously, those 2 things kind of mean everything. Can you maybe give us an estimate of that info?

I ordered one from the second printing on Sept.20 and they shipped it yesterday Oct.5. Took them 11 business days to ship it. That doesn't aspire much confidence for them but I will patiently wait for it and hopefully everything turns out fine. Looking forward to getting it.

@Dan - link broken (doesnt show Geth, at least), but the Geth poster is fairly impressive - might consider a purchase...

"Framing Lithos"...havn't had my few framed yet, though i am working on a stencil (thanks to stardazzled's wonderful inspiration) in order to carve a specific design into my frames once purchased (planning on a simple black aluminum frame making an X-acto knife quite applicable in my plans).  My first design is of a dragon, similar to the 'blood design' for DA:O, though as all my Lithos are currently ME2 it will remain quite useless, and I would need an idea for what to make for ME2...

Black aluminum seems to be the most popular frame chosen, though...has anyone tried anything significantley different?...and @Jedi, any idea what the large DA2 Litho's frame will be (what composition, color, etc.)?

@Jedi, I think most folks already said it best. Depends on price, number and what it looks like. I think the frame won't matter much unless someone plans to put it next to other lithos, then maybe it will. :D

@Dsurian, check out the ops first post. Link should work, you won't see it unless you hit the buy option up top. ;) It's not bad, just not my tastes.

I think I'm going to wait till the character lithos that are coming before I snap a shot and post it. Think I'm going to rearrange my wall a bit. Not sure if I'll end up putting up some of the minis yet. I've still not decided on frames though. Currently I'm just using a thin standard black wood frame. Since I have to save on space, I can't go for extra fancy frames.

If anything I need to buy more wall space and as some of the Australians have said, it's a pita to get frames here...

I thought the same, but just got mine yesterday. Forget when I ordered, but got the Metroid and the Geth one. Mine shipped rolled, but undamaged. Will have to see how well they flatten. Matte finish though, wasn't expecting that.

I finally recieved it today and theres a massive impact on the tube.  I take it out and yeah, whole right side of poster is heavily crinkled.  It just misses the image but its unframable now.  Its not unfixable though, I can float mount it where you glue it to a piece of masonite, use a roller to smooth it out, laminate it, then bevel the edge, paint the bevel and attach an inset frame on the back.  When you put it on the wall it looks like its floating, gives some depth.   Ive done it in the past with heavily damaged posters and they usually turn out nice.

Its definately a cool poster, alittle small though.  Mine is #17/100 on the second printing.  Still happy I bought one evenknown its damaged.

Canada, it took longer than usual too get to me.  My average from the USA is 2 weeks and this took about 3 plus the 7 business days it took them to ship it.  I have bad luck with items shipped in tubes, I got some posters from Biowarestore awhile back with a massive crunch in the tube.  They were even worse then this poster but float mounting them made them look pretty good.

Far out, I have to say, the US has a TERRIBLE post system.

They just don't understand fragile. Interesting, I do a lot of online shopping and not a single parcel has yet been lost or damaged in such a way that it affected the product. (Australia is where I am)

Dan, you ordered it September 20th and it just got there October 26th? Where does he send them from?

I ordered it on October 10th, on the 11th got a message saying "allow 10 business days for it to be shipped and another 3 days for it to reach you". On tuesday (26th) I got a message saying it had been sent...but the tracking website simply says "Tracking info received" still.

Sucks that it's damaged...was hoping I'd have mine in good order, but I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed. Hopefully it will be here before December

Thanks for making a thread on this. Haven't framed any of my lithos yet and getting frames here the right size has proved a challenge. Might give that site a try, the frames look pretty good.

Yeah, I got a few...some are pretty good. However...it doesn't exactly give me a ton of confidence when I've already been waiting 3 weeks, and Dan is saying it took him more than a month to get it in, and it was damaged. Hopefully the ones I ordered wont be too bad.

How has everybody been framing their Mini-lithos so far? I put mine in some small fake wood frames. Illium and Omega I put in black, and the Garrus & Saren I put in cherry...kept the "sets" in matching frames because I like the idea of keeping them together like that. Problem is, Aaron Bros only has the same style frame in the 2 colors...so I'm not sure if I want to go with a different frame for the next set, or do an alternating black/cherry for each release.

I'm assuming the USA,  I already threw out the tube and whatnot.  Things usually take 2 weeks from the USA to Canada.  Canada cutoms is why, they hold items for days.

They used the cheapest tube you can buy for shipping.  Thin to the point of it splitting along the seams.   Thats the only reason why, I have bought many posters with no problems but when people use cheap crap you get crap results.

Hope that makes you feel better about it.  Posted Image

Got mine in today and they were fine...no issues. Framing them is gonna be a bit difficult though...as 13x19 frames don't seem to be very available. Aaron Bro's just has 1 type of frame for that size...which is the same type as what I've been using for all my mini's.

Overall, I just have a pile of framed lithos sitting in the corner. I'm probably going to have to make the decision of keeping nothing but the large ones in my room (taking down the posters and mini's), or leaving the mini's up and putting everything else in the hallway.

can anyone tell me if the lithos are EXACTLY 18x24'' or something less?

I live in Italy and I found a shop which sells 45x60cm frames which are about 18x24'' (some millimetres less) and I would like to know if the lithos will fit or if I have to buy the 50x70cm ones

thanks

You need at least a 50x70cm frame because the lithos are about 45,6x61cm. If you have enough wall space, I'd recommend a 60x80 one. The lithos look better if the frame is a good bit larger.

thank you, I'll go for 50x70 then, I can't afford 60x80 since I bought 3 lithos and the wall has its limits, lol.
