They are indeed. Tougher than some boss battles (Yes I am pointing at you, ridiculously easy Uldred!) and require some good coordination to get through. At least for me. Damn did I almost start to cry in Redcliffe Castle when I fought my first... then I figured out there was a lever to get the knights there to beat his ass... Phew.

Figure out what elements they are/are not immune to and plan accordingly.

Wait, there was a lever at Redcliffe castle??

That one took me forever, not really because of him... but the Stupid Skeleton Archers on the steps

If you talked with Sir Perth before you entered the castle, he informed you that he and his knights would be waiting outside the castle gates. I missed it as first too, but as soon as you notice the gate and the lever the fight goes from ridiculously hard to "help the knights kick a%$*

Is this one more difficult than the one in the Circle of Magi? He was a cake walk. Send tank, tell Wynne to heal, use ranged attacks, Force Field tank occasionally if you want to save Wynne's mana. Dead Revenant. Redcliffe was a little more of a nuisance. Send tank, taunt, heal, Force Field, AoE archers, AoE melee adds, autoattack Revenant to death with a few heals and/or another Force Field.

I prefer not to use the guards as Perth somehow manages to get himself killed every single time.

This one is in the Forrest when going after winterfang the werewolf.. .appears after clicking on a gravestone. He is on you like that, pretty much meyhem out of the gate

He is pretty tough.. plus he has 4 adds that are a bit of a pain.
