No. No chance of that.

Hurray!

Score one for BioWare.  Way to avoid a completely unnecessary waste of development resources.

I have to disagree.  I do enough reading in college, so i would rather have the text read to me via a narrator.  I just want to sit back and enjoy the game, not read dozens of paragraphs.

Except we could read that entry 6 times by the time the narration is finished.

True.
The novelty is great, and it's amusing to read every codex entry in the same voice as the voiced entries. But it's a bit unreasonable given the large amount of lore DA should be giving us.

I wonder if we'll have access to all the old codex entries?

*Snerk* I can't even begin to get emo. If I tried to cut myself with the swords I have lying around our office, I'd lose my whole arm.

I think i speak for the rest of us when i say we could probably forgo any gameplay footage so long as you guys post a video of you guys LARPing with those. :D Well.. it doesn't even have to be RP, it can totally be for real too.

Do you really have swords lying around your office? Because that would be rather awesome.

He is obviously lying. Swords in the office would be too awesome for an office to handle.
At the very least i require proof of this.

Edit for on-topic:
I'm glad to hear that codexes are now by name and not number, i never read any in DAO, not being able to find the ones i was looking for easily.

LOL.

So true. Sometimes people here ask things that they don't either understand clearly how MUCH work it will take to be implemented. Sure, it is good to keep asking this or that without either caring about reality, but I'm sure you don't pretend yourself to become the next Rimbaud despite all the typical warnings of the contrary.

Unless you don't want DA2 to come in about 10 years (maybe) you will have to think a bit more about what you request.

Done. Oh, I suppose you'd also want them to make sense wouldn't you? :?

Thank goodness for that !  Kudos Bioware !  I would definitely hate that, immensely, so!  I totally hated that in ME2.  I want to read for myself, leisurely, so.

So thanks again for not entertaining the idea of voicing the codex entries.

If he does then I want to see photos of these swords. If not I will be disappointed because I wanted to see swords in the Bioware office.

So when you get into an argument about something pertaining to DA with a coworker do you all gather around the break room (with coffee in hand of course) and let the two people involved in the argument dual it out with the swords? Lol I'm sure that would be a great way to solve any issues that come up in the developmental process of the game. Sort of a "let the best employee win" kind of policy.

But pertaining to this forum topic....thanks for keeping the codex in DA:2 Posted Image

Now I can't stop imagining Mr.Gaider dueling with a sword against the other writers to decide whose idea DA's plot will follow.

Gaider always wins.

Add a command on codex screen "go to the oldest unread entry". Please. Triangle on PS3 will be fine.

Withing 6 steps of my desk I have:
  • A terribly balanced but rather pretty curved chinese saber that hung on my wall all through writing Jade Empire, and managed to fall, rather catastrophically while I was on the phone during a voice-over session.
  • A prop crossbow that so far has proven more than adequate at launching pens at Fernando.
  • An inflatable sword staff; inflated
  • An inflatable warden sword; sadly deflated by time
  • A replica of the Warden's sword from the blur trailers
  • And both of the letter openers that you can buy right now!
So, to answer your question, yes.

I have a mad crazy kitten who would like to help you on that score.  For about a week I walked around looking like I was a blood mage - he likes to use me as a launching pad!
