 I am on my 4th playthrough, and I only remember encountering this once, but I have forgotten the solution.  I have defeated the 1st Rachni wave that was attacking upon my arrival.  I have hooked up the Mako to the generator, and now I am waiting for the attack.  The timer seems to be stuck at 26 seconds.  How do you trigger the attack?

The same happened to me, a reload was the only one that solved the problem, the timer triggers the attack.
