Is anyone else practically frothing at the mouth in anticipation of ME3?

Do you want to have certain people be dead?

I would like the game to reflect the results of the suicide mission. If Jacob, Miranda, and Mordin died I want that to be represented in the game. I want other characters, particularly ME2 squadmates to recognize the loss. I want the game to have complex situations/choices based on what happened.

I managed to save everyone. Even a disloyal Miranda, so I want that to be represented in the game also.

I wasn't frothing, but lightly drooling for ME3 as soon as I finished ME2.

Did you side with Jack in their argument?

Of course I sided with Jack. In all honesty I made the decision thinking that Miranda was an adult and would understand that she's supposed to be a leader, not a child. Her reaction was ridiculous and made me severely dislike her character for being so juvenille.

I always Paragon their loyalties into staying. What does Miranda say?

I do not remember it verbatim but it went something along the lines of, "Seriously?! Well this is crap!" Then she proceeds to storm out.

I admit, I don't know what Miranda's specific gripe there is; I guess she just has a major grudge against Jack.

She may be physically genetically "perfect" but she has some serious social issues. You would think that being the cell leader of Lazarus would require her understanding how to deal with teammates she may not particularly like for the sake of the mission.]

Quite so. My Colonist/Sole Survivor Shepard detests her for that and other reasons...

I don't know if you realized, but without using Charm/Intimidate, Shepard's reaction is just as bad if not worse, and s/he's "supposed to be a leader" too. Miranda explains - quite correctly - that the group that messed up Jack was a rogue Cerberus splinter group and not Cerberus itself. She even apologizes for what happened to Jack even though she had nothing to do with it. And Shepard still flies down her throat if you side with Jack. I'd be pissed too.

Shepard: "Who I decide to recruit is my business. Jack's doing fine! Maybe you should take a look at your own attitude!" Jack's attitude is fine? After she biotically threw a chair at Miranda over something Miranda had nothing to do with?

Furthermore, you're wrong - Miranda doesn't "storm out." She gets angry and shuts the door in your face, and with good reason - it's her office! I'd throw both of your asses out too for coming down on me like that over something I didn't do.

The Jack apologists boggle my mind at times.

The idea that it's "rogue" is pretty much wishful thinking. EDI specifically states that the Illusive Man only has a few cells going at a time so he can keep personal control of everything. The staff may have been falsifying their reports, but it never says for what.

Also, it shouldn't be too hard to admit that what was done to Jack was badly wrong. Jack's insane; Miranda should be able to swallow her pride long enough to make that statement for the sake of mission cohesion.

Well put optimystic, I'd also like to point out that it was jack who likley started the fight and Miranda was just defending herself as any person would likley do when a super charged tatooed bald pyschopath barges into your office screaming.

Miranda never denies what was done to jack was wrong, simply that cerebrus wasn't to blame. Which seems plausible considering what the data recordings stated that TIM was being lied to.
For a real hard ass jack seems to wallow in alot of self pity, She has no real reason to start throwing chairs at Miranda, and if shepard wouldn't have barged in things would have got alot worse.

Actually, Miranda doesn't apologize for anything. She says that Jack herself was a mistake, not what happened to her.

It's pretty clear that is what she meant. Unless you're honestly saying Miranda thinks Jack should never have been born, which is a totally ridiculous way to read that statement.

SHE DID! She just isn't blaming Cerberus for the actions of a rogue cell.

"It wasn't Cerberus, not really. But clearly you were a mistake."

She says it in her own words.

She says "Clearly, you were a mistake," in a rather nasty tone. And remember, she already knows that Jack is badly emotionally unstable; even if Jack is wrong, and frankly I don't think she is, it'd be a good idea for Miranda to just agree with her this one time.

She. Is. Agreeing.

Turn on subtitles if it helps.

I simply keep on playing Mass Effect 2. I play it practically every single day. This game just never gets old. Sure I know most of the dialogues upside down, inside out and sideways but hey, punching Al Jelani has up to since always sparked a loud "Bit*h SLAP" to leave my mouth.

I did. I've seen the thing before. She refuses to admit that it was Cerberus.
