I did not buy the game. But I'm bored at times and interested in this multiplayer feature that it offers.

Still grinding in Score Attack to reach Captain.

Christ on a bike, this is ridiculous. I've been playing for about five hours straight and I'm only 3/4 of the way there.

I tried this but I just get 60 cR per game despite winning on my own what am I doing wrong? Playing FF matchmaking nets me around 500 cR. Im actually confused as to how they work it out in a game of FF where I was third on scoring and we finished with around 13, 000 points I got more cR than in a game where we got over 15, 000 points and I was top scorer with more than 8, 000 of those points. I blowed up three wraiths in that game it turns out the grenade launcher is great for such activities.

Play Score Attack online and go for Gruntpocalypse. It's a really fast way to boost your precision weapon/headshot/infantry commendations. Gets dull real fast though.

On the other hand, I finally reached Captain! All that grinding in Gruntpocalypse and Sniper Attack finally paid off!

Daily Challenge hunting helps as well, theres usually a few worth 1.5k to 2k and sometimes they'll be within easy reach considering what you plan on doing anyway. grinding through the campaign on legendary by myself has netted me surprisingly little in the way of credits. its not actually that hard, especially compared to halo 2. halo 2 legendary was brutal, never even finished it.

on a side note anyone know the best spot to hijack a banshee in the campaign?

The Spire section of Tip of the Spear. Grab a plasma pistol and wait for one of the ambient Banshees to swoop low near the top of the hill.

Do it quick though or Jorge will blow them out of the sky, the one time in the whole bloody game he actually manages to hit something. I did it while jetpacking my first time through I think I got an acheivement for it.

Speaking of acheivements has anyone managed to get the one about "assassinating an Elite to survive a fall that would otherwise have been fatal"?

Hhmmm I was just going into FF mode and setting it up on my own I didn't bother going online. Must be where I was going wrong.

I hope to be the same by the end of my Legendary play through. Doing the falcon mission now I can't remember its name but its kind of a drag with constant banshees spawning. Did all the FF ones earlier took about 45 minutes to get up to 1 million points with a gametype I downloaded.

I witnessed a whole new brand of cheating tonight. Two guys constantly peppering everyone else in a FF game of Rockets with handgun shots hoping we would retalliate and blow them up so they could boot us. The other guy did and got booted right away. I lasted about three minutes before one of them kept running infront of me trying to get hit with a rocket as I was firing at the enemies. Needless to say he eventually got hit and I got booted. I really don't understand people. The best bit is I investigated and they are friends and neither has completed any Halo game on any difficulty higher than easy.

Yeah. Took me a long, long time though. Pillar of Autumn on Legendary was utterly ridiculous because I didn't have any UNSC infantry distracting all the Elites.

assassinating an Elite to survive a fall that would otherwise have been fatal: at the very beginning of pillar of autumn, when you're with emile at the top of the cliff, you have to jump off on to one of the elites at the base. its very tricky, took me about 15 tries. basically theres a rock which you can use as a marker to help you line it up but it just takes persistence.



I've done about half the missions on legendary by myself but in a random order. pillar of autumn took me about 2 hours, a couple of checkpoints triggered where I was poorly positioned/ had no ammo. blargh. also swords and gravhammers aren't instant kills on the top elites which hurts.



I'm going to get monument to all our sins, the normal co-op allowed legendary acheivement, and the heroic acheivement all at once when I finish up. that will be fun.

Took my brother and i a while to do it, taking turns to jump off the cliff.

Heres an answer for YOU...yeah they were. Neither of them had many acheivement points I don't think and they had played barely any games. Is that kind of behaviour common on Modern Warfare? To be honest I rarely play online games unless its with mates but I enjoy Reach's most of the time.
