In both ME/ME2 my wingman has always been Garrus. Hopefully it'll stay that way in ME3.

ME1: Kaidan.  He's excellent support.

ME2: Miranda.  Aside from being the most effective in combat on higher difficulties, she also has the most imperious voice.  What's not to love?  Next in lane is Jacob sans Barrier spam, thanks to Lair of the Shadow Broker.

In ME1 Wrex was my wingman, bar none.



In ME2, it's a bit harder to choose. I'd say Legion, but he has the problem of showing up very late in the game.

ME2: Sadly while I don't like her character much I tended to take Miranda everywhere, she just has good abilities, normally I would take Kasumi with me as well for much the same reason.





I'm currently doing my 'canon' Shep, as I go through Mass Effect 1 I'm be taking Tali and Garrus with me, and ME2 will be the same although I'll be using Moridin I think, until I get Tali.

In ME1 it was Tali and Liara mainly when I wasn't going for the squad achievement points. I liked Wrex when I did the achievements but when I was playing through for just gameplay I brought in Liara for her biotics and Tali for her hacking skills.



ME2 for the Insanity mode it was Samara and Thane, for any other mode it was Kasumi and Miranda because Kasumi owns with the stealth attack and Miranda has that powerful Warp attack and area overload. Though Thane has Warp his other powers are lacking and he just wasn't a real mainstay for my gaming experience.



I didn't use the other characters that much beyond their loyalty missions. Tali lost her usefulness in ME2 because you didn't need a hack specialist anymore and her skill just plain suck. Grunt... useless because he never follows orders and stays behind cover. Mordin... too weak and only has one good attack skill for when on Horizon. Garrus, has overload but beyond that useless to me. Jack also useless her biotic shock wave attack was pretty much a useless ability. Legion was only used during his loyalty mission. Zaeed again only used during loyalty mission. Jacob also only used during the times I was forced to use him cause his biotics sucked and he was a crappy combatant.



Really because most of the characters had crappy skills is why I didn't use most of them.

ME1 & 2: Tali'Zorah. My Vanguard!Shep supplied the biotics and the gunfire, while she supplied the tech. It's a perfect match(for me, anyway.)

ME1- Garrus, definately. He's like my Shepard's bro-mance in that game.

ME2- Zaeed. I don't know why, but to me, he's like my boom-squad main-man, and his inferno grenade is one of the best abilities (IMO). Plus I love hearing him shout "Sit Down!" after firing a concussive shot.



ALSO Grunt, he's also on my powerhouse squad, and I my mind was blown when I was on Horizon, scoping out a collector who was a ways away, and right before I was about to snipe it, I hear "I AM KROGAN!" just before the collector gets tackled out of view, and Grunt walks into view, shotgun blazing. Needless to say I was impressed.

In me1 I only had wingmen/women to get their achievements but in me2 Kasumi was with me damn near everywhere my sheps went That's my girl.

I like the way you think... though I like to interchange Samara in there.  So Samara, Jack and Grunt.
