Ok, heres how this is going to work. You tell everyone what kind of tattoos you have and wear. Please don't get to graphic with detail if your tattoos are in private areas. Just tell us what kind of tattoos you have and why you got it or if you don't have a Tattoo where would you like to get one on your body and what you would like it to be. If you post images of what the tattoos look like any of the moderators will decide whether it stays up or not. Please keep the discussion about Tattoos related. Thank you.

I've got a Tattoo of the sign of infinity on the back of my neck. I got it because I was drunk and I was feeling like I wanted symbolic on my body. Now even though I was drunk I wanted something which has some good meaning to it so I got the greek symbol of infinity because I felt it had good value to it. I'm glad I got it and I don't have to worry about regretting it later on in life, because its small enough where I don't have to worry about it effecting how people look at me.

My friend has huge stars on his shoulders which represents his grandparents, I'm thinking of getting something like that, like Sylvester Stallone in The Expendables:

In about 60 years old peoples homes are going to be filled with wrinkly tatoo covered folks. Old women with butterflies above their boobs and such thins.

I have no tats but plenty of scars. I'm not quite as girly as Norskatt.

I've got 3 tats and plans for more. I've got one on my upper-right arm of my daughter's atrological sign (aquarius) along with her first and middle names above it, her last name below it and her birthdate at the very bottom. Here's a pic of it:

My second isn't completely finished. Its the circular symbol that spins at the bottom of the loading screens of DA on my upper-left arm:D

And my most recent one is on my left arm just below the one pictured above and I'm pretty sure everyone here knows what it is :P:D

i have a colored phoenix on my chest and a large norse mural on my back that was done in black and grey scale. the mural took a total of 23hrs to complete and costed $1,250. the phoenix has two shades of orange, red, and yellow, one base shade of indigo, and black outlines. it was done for $275.

i plan on getting more. i also don't even plan on getting anything that is visible. they'll only be visible when/if i decide to take my shirt off in front of people. other than that, they're for my own satisfaction. i don't regret having them done.

I'm planning on getting a ring of flames added to the DA tat and want so many more, but can't decide on any.. And I'm broke at the moment lol.. The first one I got cost $120 (professional) and the second that isn't finished cost $25 and isn't 'professional' even tho the guy who did it should be a pro with his own shop. He gave me my third one for free and did an excellent job.

@Creature: Do you happen to have any pics of those? They sound epic!

i have one of my phoenix. unfortunately i don't have any pics of the norse mural. i had the phoenix done in one shot. the total work hours on it was around 5. however, due to a several breaks, and a 2hr break due to the tattoo artist needing to pick his kids up from school, take them home, and wait for his wife to come back home, the total time was a little over 7 1/2hrs. the two hour break gave my skin time to become extremely irritated. once the session was restarted, it felt as if he was peeling my skin away with a potato peeler. after it was done, i was shaking like crazy. it was due to the excitement and nerves.

I don't like inflicting something permanent on my skin, but if I ever get a tattoo it would be of this:

(+20 approval for those that knew what it was the moment they saw it)

Yep, and those butterflies are going to lok more like condors with ragged wings than pretty flying insects.

I've none and don't want any. Likely a function of my age, but tattoos don't appeal to me in the least. I do like some of the artwork, and oddly, I often put tats on my game characters, but I don't like the real thing.

I don't need any tattoos, my body is already a work of art.

currently I have none, but my significant other recently got three stars on her foot and shes been nagging me to get one. Honestly I think its something I would regret; whether it be a week from now or later.  :P

Back on topic, however, I'm planning on having several new tats done sometime in the near future, but having trouble deciding on which ones to do first.. I liked Creature's phoenix. That's an awesome tat! Just not sure I would get such a big, one piece tat on my chest like that. Maybe on my back, but not my chest. Still a nice one, man! Looks worth every penny!

@Anyone thinking of getting a tattoo that currently don't have one: A word of warning; Tattoos are highly addictive. If you get one, you will more than likely want another.. And then another.. And so on..

:D

I've removed a few posts from this thread. Keep the derogatory stereotyping out of it. Or any thread for that matter. Thank you.

You are just a wimp.... tattoos are good to show when you have kids in their teens. You can tell them you were once cool instead of old and uptight.

I've never felt compelled to get tattoos because I've never felt that attached to anything in my life to want to remember it forever. Though I don't remember quite a lot of things, so maybe I should have gotten some tattoos... I have plenty of scars, though, and know the history behind each one. Interesting history, not bad history. And I do like asking people about the history of their own tattoos. I like the ones that tell a substantial story.

The first one I posted above is for my baby girl. Got it just a few months after she was born. She's a year and a half old now and loves looking at it lol. I can't wait till she gets old enough for me to explain it to her.

I don't have any, but its not because I don't want one. I just don't know what I'd get...
