Good day everyone! First of all i have tried to make a new "level" and if i understand it correctly you could say that it is the "basic" layer. However i seem to only be able to use 4 kinds of textures. Also do anyone know if you can change the size of a "level" after you have made it?

I don't have toolset in front of me, but you can create custom textures from within the material palette.  Click on one of the default 4 textures.  In the material palette window, click on the diffuse property line.  A small square with 3 dots will appear.  Click on this and it will open a new window that lists all the art files.  I think textures can only be of the .dds file type.  So filter the files types with that.  Try out the various types of .dds files you want that makes for good terrain.
I haven't had much chance to work deeply with that yet.

4 textures per chunk, I believe. look for an icon that look slike a checkerboard, and hit it, you'll see squares light up on the terrain. Those are the chunk borders. 4 textures per tile lit up.

tre_ are the OC terrain files I believe. You can have 8 materials in the pallet and only 4 per chunk. You really shouldn't ever need more than four per chuck, but if you do, when you open the level editor you can set the chuck size to something smaller than 32 (default.)
