My PC died, bougtha new one and installed origins - found the product key, so no problem.  BUT I can't find the key for the awakenings disc.  I have searched the registry of the old PC and tried combinations of the numbers in it for DAO as there is not a separate register for awakenings.  Nothing works.  I tried Bioware technical help as it was registered, and they sent me an obviously generic reply about how to load up with Windows 7.  So far - a week later - no reply to my request to actually answer my question.   So is there any way that anyone knows of recovering the key or will I have to buy awakenings again?

Do you have your manual for Awakening? It should be on the back of the manual. It is on the back of my manual (or documentation as it is called today) for Awakening. If you need a new product key (cd key), you'll need to ask EA, the game's publisher, for a a new cd key. In the old Bioware forums, you could store your cd keys online which was a very smart and clever way to get them back should something like what happened to you ever happen to anyone of us.



I think a Bioware dev. or two actually said there is a way to to recover a cd key for origins and awakening, but I can't remember right now...

The Awakening code is right next to the Origins code in the registry. In windows 7 thats:
