After fixing my ME2 files, I was finally able to finish my Femshep Infiltrator on Hardcore. (Was getting a fatal error/CTD during the Omega 4 Relay cutscene.) Noticed this for the first time during the terminator final boss:



During the fight, Harbinger was dropping these different items upon death which gave some heavy ammo and bunch of regular ammo along with it (20 Cain ammo and ~7 Widow shots). Never had these drop before, and it was only during this one fight. Anybody seen these elsewhere?

I knew that Harbinger drops heavy weapon ammo during the final boss fight from what other people had told me, but that's the first time I've seen one of those big chunky power cells - it always seemed like harbinger never dropped anything when I killed him at that stage of the final battle. Interesting...

They only drop in that fight and you must likely never noticed them because you always killed Harbinger before he ever got close enough for you to see them drop. I didn't even know he dropped them until I saw it in a youtube video somewhere.

Every time you kill Harby (final battle only) he'll drop those powercells - basically a heavy ammo crate; there is ammo on the left and right platform too, it respam after every terminator attack. Devs made it so to ensure you'll never run out of ammo.

Yes, he does this so you don't run out of ammo. It's also handy to refill the Cain so you can nuke the Reaper to oblivion. (My favored finish.)

Bozorgmehr - thanks for that tip ( about ammo crates on left and right platform). I use the pistol a lot to conserve ammo in the fight leading up to the final battle because I almost always run out of ammo in the last fight, I'll look for them next time.

I knew about it actually. Was playing on insanity and saw it drop. Went, picked it up and kept on going. Was pretty cool to see it happen the first time I noticed it.

I realized that somehow I was getting more heavy ammo on my first runthrough of the game, but never knew how or why. Cool to see that answered at last.
