Does anybody consider the Shadow Broker ME2's true final boss like I do?

His battle is harder then that of the Human-Reaper and I've never died in that boss, while the Shadow Broker made me reload my saves 3 times.

I don't suck, I just haven't played in a while. Image IPB

I found the Shadow Broker to be an incredibly easy kill as a soldier. Adrenaline Rush + Mattock Rifle just utterly decimated him.

I can imagine that other classes might have found it much more difficult though.

Adept, so yeah, it's a bit troublesome.

Vanguard makes it laughably easy.

What class were you?

My Adept was somewhat difficult, but only took me one reload.

Adept. Man it was hard to hit him with a warp without hitting the shield.

Vanguard + Heavy Charge + Geth Plasma Shotgun = one dead Yahg very quickly

I do complete the LOTSB quest AFTEr the suicide mission but only because that is when the romantic reconciliation happens

I had zero problems fighting him with my Vanguard, Soldier and Infiltrator. He's certainly not as tough as one would imagine. Vasir is a much more challenging opponent.

I think Engineer was the easiest class against the Shadow Broker.

Combat Drone.

Fisrt time a fought him was with my Vanguard and It was laughably easy.

Second time with my Soldier ... Peace of cake too.

And finaly with my Adept ... at this moment I began to cry. Yes as an Adept, this fight is a real challenge in Insanity.

Ah, Adept. Yes, I can see how that would be much more difficult.

Heck, Adepts seem to be the weakest class in ME2, especially at higher difficulty levels.

Definitely .... www.youtube.com/user/Hathur99

The fight itself was very good though - much more fun gameplay-wise than the reaper at the end of ME2 (though that one looked cooler, naturally).

The boss fight vs the spectre in LoTSB was actually much harder than the shadow broker... both bosses were a lot of fun.

That's why I can't justify playing an Adept on anything but Casual. It's a fun class (my FemShep from ME1 is a hardcore Adept), but it doesn't seem like it was meant to be played on higher difficulties at all.

hey quick question.....does the SB shrug off singularity (the player's singularity) when you fight him? or does he get caught in it like every other enemy?

He's almost laughably easy as an infiltrator. I'm not sure if he even hit me once on my last Insanity playthrough.

I did try playing an Adept once, but I felt that all I was doing was waiting for Warp to cooldown so that I could spam it again. It just seemed so 1-dimensional.

Fighting the Shadow Broker with the Adept can be quite tough. Due to his shield, your powers are often useless. If you are able to time Liara's Stasis with a well-placed Warp however, you should be able to defeat him quite easily.

Infiltrator and Engineer make him a joke. Everything's easy for a Soldier. Haven't tried the others yet.

from what I hear Adepts rule insanity thanks to singularity.....since it is the only crowd control power that works on shielded enemies

You don't really get the most out of the Adept unless you're a HIGH level. Even then, it still feels somewhat ineffective. But I personally think it's a fun class to play. ^_^

yep......the Geth Plasma Shotgun  is the perfect weapon for a skilled vanguard.....I dunno why people keep saying it is good for EVERY other class but not a vanguard

SB himself was challenging on insanity, but I agree with the guy who said heightened adrenalin rush + mattock = win.

It's true, the only reason I died on him was because I made a damn stupid mistake of staying behind one piece of cover.
I loved it since as far as I can remember he is the first boss able to destroy  non fragilecover (Since even the Oculus couldn't destroy the crates in the normandy's hold. And on that note, who the hell takes cover behind a fragile crate?)

I found he was really easy with adept on insanity. Just use stasis on him from Liara and thatll make him turn strip his shields and then warp him like crazy. With warp ammo it was probably one of the easiet ones. Next to infiltrator, cause you can always find a weak point due to the time dialation.
