Is it possible to have a Soldier class in me2 and get lift or pull as a bonus power?

Neither are available as bonus powers. Only one that comes close is Slam.

Lift doesn't even exist!

Actually, it does. It's just not in the second game. Lift is a skill in the first game. However, Pull now does pretty much the same thing as Lift.

No - As simple of an answer as it gets.

Slam has the same flavor and look as ME 1 Lift. Its one of the few active powers that works "ok" on a Soldier from my experience as its cooldown is quick enough that it doesn't really take away from too much Adrenaline Rush time.

I wouldn't exactly describe it as 'the same flavour'... ME1's Lift effectively removed an enemy from play, while ME2's Slam is more like a straight damage power with a bit of short-term CC.

You can get lift/pull on your soldier with a bit of modding

It doesn't stay on through reloads, though.

It doesnt stay, but if u have a key mapped to it, you just have to press it once every reload. Not that much of a problem.
