Ah, but none of them have Orlesian accents.
Or were Bards (repentant or unrepentant about it), whose job it is to gain your trust. Morrigan has always been open about being a user, Sten simply doesn't care (or else is the worst infiltrator ever), Zevran never survives in half the playthroughs, and Wynn's open about trying to push you one way or another. But a bard? They're sneaky.

Well, Sten is locked in a cage and waiting to die. If he's been sent to spy on you, that's a funny way of going about it. Also, Qunari are rather conspicuous. He's pretty up front about why he's there, and for that reason I'd trust him.
Zevran, if I'm being honest, wouldn't survive if *I* was the warden. However, I like the character and often end up romancing him so I've never killed him.
I've also never killed Leli or left her behind (because Zevran has no lockpick skills to start with and I need a thief if I'm not playing one) but in reality, I'd kill her.

Apparently Leliana is often turned down on her first attempt to join the party but when she asks again later and Alistair has a mildly amusing line supporting her wish to join the party, she gets to come along. Hm...if Leliana was spying on you, how did she corrupt Alistair that fast?

Its obvious she is spying on you!
She must have known that you as a Warden would come into Lothering!
Then she must have been able to deduce that you would walk into Dane's Refugee!
Then she must have known that if she helped you she can worm her way into your group!
The next part is tricky folks! She then procedes to follow you for a year, befriend/romance you, and then!!!!
.... um nothing, her story checks out when Marjorlaine has her villian monolouging moment, and she never does anything bad to you, outside of talking about shoes.
An obvious spy if I ever saw one.
/sarcasm.

Leliana never does anything bad...that you know of. That combined with the fact that she can so accurately predict your actions and instantly realizes you as the most important person around must mean she's, like, the most skilled bard ever! No wonder Marjolaine wanted her dead!

Yes, its not that its pure random chance, and her just being her that attracts some wardens to her.Sarah1281 wrote...

Heh, I really do like Leli, despite the fact I feel I shouldn't. I am not a girly girl - I don't understand shoes, unless they're trainers, and dresses are anathema to me. That, and my inner Loghain says I shouldn't trust an Orlesian bard. But Leliana is hard to dislike. Damn that bard.

But of course bards are hard to dislike. That's how you know one's good at their job.

I was a little concerned about Leliana being a former bard.Dean_the_Young wrote...

However after Marjorlane confirmed Leliana's story, I had no more concerns....
only a headache from listening to one of the worst accents in the game.
