When I try to post, I'm denied... since everybody's had to jump through the hoops... is there a link or url explaining what those are?

Only the Dragon Age Toolset forums have limitations, and since you have chosen not to put any (current Bioware / EA) games at all into your profile, how is the site supposed to know you have any reason to be in various owners-only forums?

As already noted, however, the NWN forums have no such owners-only limitation.  There's no current way to register the NWN2 game on this site:

Right. Now that you've bloviated... any idea how to actually answer the question?

Can enter but not reply: says I'm not granted access to view when I do so.

Okay, so you're saying, just so I have this clear:

You can open up and look at the NWN2 Toolset Forums. You can post there, but not start a new topic.

Is that correct?

Has the problem persisted? I sometimes have access issues in even the off-topic forum. They don't tend to last though. If you haven't already, I would check to see if you are still unable to post a new topic.

I ask it this way, because as a moderator, I can post in pretty much any forums and read in any forums. That said, one day not long ago, I entered the moderator forums *(you have to be a moderator to even see them) and in one of our primary issues topic threads it said I didn't have the authority to post there. Whaaa,,,!?! It just went away after about10 minutes.

This could be what's going on for you.

Actually he did answer the question. But it's not matching up with your question because the question you are stating does not make sense as it's stated, what you are describing just does not work like that for other people.

Are you posting in the Dragon Age toolset, or in the NWN2 toolset. If it's NWN2 i think you are missing something since that is not restricted at all.

So if you you could post more information, perhaps actually give us links for the spot you were in and show what you were trying to do step by step to recreate the issue, there is something going on, some detail which is affecting you which was not put in your post which makes what you've posted so far not enough for us to know what is going on. Either that or it was just a temporary issue which is no longer in effect.

Ah, Pain, that makes some sense. I had assumed that posting in the nwn2 section would make clear I was having an nwn2 issue. (as I'd have posted in the DA section for its issue). What I did was fairly straightforward: I clicked to start a new topic, typed a question, submitted it, got an error message. I'll do it again later and past in links, if you like.

Owl, that could be it, I'll give it a shot.

Yep, tnx, Owl, it posted this time. Just a case of "try back later, system needs coffee," I guess. o.O
