So, I have been fighting with the walkmesh on a ship in my harbor for several days now and each time I re-bake to see if my latest tweak worked, I read another little bit on the forums. Now I've run out of new things to read. So I started wondering what other people do while they are baking areas. Here are some of my ideas
-Brush up on my pirate dialect
-Check the downloads on my last module for the 10th time today
-Merge .2da's
Things to do while your area is baking...

What ever you do, walk away from your computer and let it work on the bake process.
Windows may be good at having multiple tasks open/running concurrently, but the NWN2 Toolset decidedly wants everything it can grab for resources.

I play Spider Solitaire, Minefield on as large a field as I can make it use, read stuff, do other design work on Plan9's gaming mechanics, make MOAR coffee, and sometimes, if I have a very large bake to do (which isn't really often) I go outside with my digital camera and takes shots like these:

There's more to life than the toolset and the forums. (I know, GASP! Sacrilige!)

Yeah. Of course, the joy of 16.4 rural acres of property are balanced by the definite hassles of generally difficult to get internet service as well as general proximity to what most might call civilized and taken for granted services. However, I think, on the whole, the benefits have definitely outwieghed the negatives. If you look really closely at that last photo or zoom in on it, you can see that those two fuzzy brown things are Coyotes. They are young ones that their mom raised in my copse of woods just near the house.
They were out playing around the pond (out here they call them tanks -- go figure) and I snuck up onto the roof and shot them with my [sarcasm]powerful 4x Zoom[/sarcasm] Sony cybershot. Yeah, it's basically a digital instamatic, but, like NWN2's toolset, I make it do things most don't think it can.
