Seeing that the woman appears in Hawk's mind as he is resorting to blood magic, it leads me to believe it is she that may as well help him specialize in it. This codex came to mind as I watched the trailer.

Main article: Codex Entry: Rivain

Nowhere in my travels, not in the heart of the Imperium nor the streets of Orzammar, have I felt so much an outsider as in Rivain.

The Chant of Light never truly reached the ears of these people. The years they spent under the thumb of the qunari left most of the country zealous followers of the Qun. But resistance to the Chant goes deeper than the Qunari War. The Rivaini refuse to be parted from their seers, wise women who are in fact hedge mages, communicating with spirits and actually allowing themselves to become possessed. The Chantry prohibition against such magical practices violates millennia of local tradition.

Nobody would see it coming.

Especially considering the average person on Thedas would be like "wtf iz dis sheet man?" and then they'd pass it off as a legendary artifact. Since Hawke is a protagonist, all legendary artifacts must fall into his / her inventory. Through years of being a wrench, the Morri-Wrench would've finally found Hawke.

I laughed so hard at this.

Morrigan is Cassandra? Of course, how did I not see it before?! Because everyone knows that Morrigan <3's the Chantry. :P

Or it could be a painful memory of a loved one leaving Hawke which could trigger the mental state for that spell he uses.

There is a possiblity that Isabella's appearance might have been mildly retconned, if there is a chance it is her.

No Isabella, thanks. I prefer my love interests without sexually transmitted diseases, and judging by her mating habits she wouldn't be too safe.   Posted Image

Clearly a male romancable that does not end well, a la Morrigan's romance from DAO that did not end well.

After all, it was that memory of her leaving that really cheesed Hawke off.

I don't think Cassandra is Morrigan. Quite possibly a mage uprising has lead this strong Chantry personality to surface to get to the bottom of it. In Hawk's vision he saw a battle between robed mages and Grey Wardens. Wynn said in Awakenings that the The College of the Magi are convening in Cumberland, and Wynne would like Ines to be present for the convention. Also, I believe she stated that the mages wanted freedom from the chantry. I'm sure Cassandra believes that this family of apostate mages mainly Hawk are a threat to the chantry and are probably aiding in this uprising. Just a thought.

I'm going with bisexual LI and Rogue companion.
Bioware sure love to give us Rogues who swing both ways, and in some cases .. dual wield.

On second thought, not so innocent, my machismo slinging was learned from Chuck Norris. So you're just a victim. And now carry my child.

Ugh why do people always think its Isabella? As if there can't possibly be new characters and pirate women OTHER than Isabella in Thedas? That's like people claiming Hawke was the little red-haired child in Lothering or what not...(I'm not one for stupid memes).

Without a doubt she's an entirely new character, most likely a new party member (rogue probably) or a notable romantic fling (like the Asari Consort/Kelly Chambers in Mass Effect).
