Hi All

I just got a copy of mass effect 2 (the EA classics version).

On the back of the dvd case it says 'Cerberus Network code included' (or something similar, I don't have the case with me at the moment)

But I dont see anything anywhere inside the case that has a Cerberus key on it. There is the serial number in the case, but nothing else.

How do I get access to the Cerberus Network? Is the code on one of the dvds?

Thanks :)

You sure you didn't get Mass Effect 1? I don't recall a classics Version being available for Mass Effect 2 and a quick search in the internet didn't result in matches.

The Cerberus network code usually comes on a leaflet inside the box that advertises blood dragon armor on the other side.

If you didn't find anything inside the case besides the disc you may want to take your box back to your retailer to check if it was simply your copy that didn't have the code, otherwise... take it to EA?

Hmm, just checked with the store, and they don't remove anything from the dvd cases...

Does anyone know where the code is normally included for the ea classics version?

Thanks,

Most likely code is not included in that version. You can buy one here at the site.

Before you buy anything, email EA support. Most likely they forgot to include the codes and will give you one.

And 12 dollars for ME2? That seems too litle, sounds like a pirate version hit the webshops of South Africa.

This, though I don't know how they could have 'forgotten' to give a code. EA or Bioware would know the chant.

I'm emailing EA support now, will let you all know what they say.

The dvd case very clearly states access to Cerberus Network is included....

Also, it definitely isnt a pirate version, Its being sold by some of the biggest retailers here (not just the online retailers, but outlets like Musica)

I bought my ME 2 for ~11 euro(45PLN in Poland) and the Cerberus code was included. It was a additional piece of paper with the code printed on it. EA classic version.

Arrgh, ... you just passed the internet-smack by three letters Image IPB

And I didn't know there was already a classics version out there. That was fast!

PC games tend to drop in price really fast. Less people game on PC than on Consoles so to keep up sales they need to drop prices way more . Within a year most games are incredibly cheap

... how can they call something a 'classic' when it came out just less than a year ago??

Don't take it too serious, but cute face and that avatar of yours do not compute Image IPB

Actually, research from EA (if I recall correctly) states the exact opposite - far more people game on PC than consoles.

What? Paulie? He's such a nice person!!!

Back on topic.

Actually this classic release with such a low price makes me feel even more ripped off by DLC prices. Therefore i'm gonna make a pause in buying DLC. I'll just wait for GoTY or something.

Hi All

Just some quick feedback. As it turns out the entire batch of Mass Effect 2 - EA classics that my game came from was shipped without the Cerberus code leaflet in them.

So a quick call to EA South Africas help desk, and I had a Cerberus code in my email inbox :)

If you are in the same boat, give them a call, they will be able to help you out. The number is 0860324357

Ps. Gamestop?....

Depends. The console market has bigger numbers, but the PC market has a wider spread. I would wager that if The Sims 4 was across the 3 Major + 1 Minor (PC, Sony, Microsoft, Mac) that the PC'd come out top, but if you did the same for, say, Modern Warfare 8000, that the PC and Mac would come at the bottom.
