Congratulations everyone. Let me just point out our Winner "Hillside Village" which is an outstanding Level, Athmosperic, Gameplay ,Design, and Technical are worth near 100% from my point of view. I am certain this is a well deserved win. So hats off to AmstradHero for doing it.

It'd be great to hear if anyone plans to use one of the levels in their mods - let us know!

A list of things that makes a level better than one will be much appreciated.

Congrats to all entrants, not just the winners. I was surprised by the quality and level of detail given what I personally considered to be an inadequate length of time for such a contest, especially considering that several entrants only showed up fairly late in the game. I noticed a couple of levels have some minor issues like gaps between models and such, but those are understandable given the pressures of a deadline and are easily rectified. All-in-all a job well done to all involved.

All the levels are great, I suggest that one of the future contest is just that, using only these levels (and the outcome of other contests possibly) to create a stand-alone module. You never know what kind of great tales the community will tell with all these wonderful offerings :)

elvhen - we're certainly considering this possibility much later down the line, once we've run more contests.

thanks guys! Great work to everyone. I've actually just run through the awesome package mikemike put together for us for the first time and it's really fun to see how great the levels turned out... maybe we should just all combine forces and beat Bioware at their own game for DA2? :P

Seriously though, thanks guys. It's really inspiring to know that people enjoy the colorful approach I've been working on, which I was worried might be too far outside the normal dragon age aesthetic... There's a lot more where that came from when I get around to announcing my mod.

I'm also going to post the houses I used in the level, which I have saved as .sel groups, so others can easily use them in their own levels. That will hopefully be up in the next two days, before I continue my cross country move (California here I come).

Oh, I'd also like to put in an honorable mention for Lord of Fang's level -- if you haven't looked at it you really should. There's a lot going on under the surface, but at the same time it's a very simple and effective level. Really beautiful stuff.

Thanks everyone!  At the risk of sounding like a bit of a parrot, I'd like to reiterate what others have said already and commend all the entrants on their work. There were some really creative and interesting levels put up by some talented people here - this only bodes well for the future community contests!
