I'm running through the Pinnacle Station DLC, and I'm having trouble with the Volcanic Hunt mission. I can't find a spot where I can keep killing enemies. My best run, I got 24 kills (out of 46 needed); on my last two runs, enemies were nowhere in sight, so I got 0 kills. What spot has the best line of sight on a spawn point with minimal movement required?

I don't think it's a good idea to stand still at all.
Anyway the way I completed all those missions was by pausing a lot to orient myself and kill enemies as quickly as possible.

I managed the Subterranean level by finding a 'sweet spot' where I had a line of sight on a spawn point. Enemies kept spawning, and I was able to take them out with no movement (once I got into position, of course). I was hoping there was a similar spot in the Volcanic Hunt mission, as I'm having a lot of trouble completing it.

I always forget what the difference is between the modes, but in some of them the enemies will only spawn in a particular order, so you have to memorize where to go to get them to spawn. Takes some practice runs.
I honestly thought Hunt was the one where they just spawn all over the place, but it has been a while since I played ME1.

Hunt is the one where you have to kill a certain number of enemies before the timer hits 0. Each kill you make gets you extra time, but after the first dozen or so, that's only an extra second per kill. In Volcanic, I have to make 46 kills. As I said, my best is 24, with 0 being the more common number.

Like I said, sounds like you've managed not to trigger the spawns somehow.
Only reason I can think of. Try practice runs to see if you can figure out a pattern for the spawns. Worked for me.
Wouldn't bother trying to find a sweet spot.

Sounds like that might be it, but even when I do trigger them, I can't kill them fast enough. Mainly because I lose time heading towards the group that builds up out of range. I need a spot far enough away to trigger a spawn, but close enough to kill quickly.

Just go up the structure and keep moving from side to side on the long ramp. It'll trigger geth near both buildings.

I finally managed it. For me, the sweet spot was on the lower walkway of the bridge structure. I wasn't going up on the structure originally because the upper level doesn't have a clear shot on enemies; however, if I stayed on the lower level, I had a clear shot on a couple of spawn points. I managed it on the first try when I went there.

The sweet spot on the Volcanic mission is right under options... where you lower the difficulty level. That level was just not realistically doable on Insanity with certain classes.

I did it on Hardcore. I am not sure if I'll be doing Pinnacle Station on my Insanity run, but if I do, I won't be able to turn down the difficulty. Mainly because I haven't gotten the achievement for Insanity yet. Thankfully, I won't actually need anything from Pinnacle Station on that run; the only reason to complete it will be for bragging rights.
