I will agree that the high dragon was a hard fight and i feel more accomplished when i kill it than the archdemon
then you get the use thscale for even better armor! love that armor for my arcane warrior, the medium armor doesnt raise my fatigue too much so it is awsome!

I assume that the High Dragon in Awakening is higher than 22, but no I always fight the dragons pretty early, have you tried fighting them after the Landsmeet?
No, I haven't. It wasn't until I saw this thread and read what everyone posted that I even thought of it. I was aware of the mechanics based off of the information from Dragon Age Wiki, but just never considered the possibilities.
I have not encountered both high dragons in my current playthrough (HNF DW Rogue, Hard/Nightmare), but I'm already deep into the track I want her to follow so I will be fighting them before Landsmeet. There maybe some flexibility with Flemeth. Maybe. Otherwise it will have to wait for another playthough.

There's a difference between the strongest canon wise and most difficult to kill in the game.
I had a much easier time defeating the Archdemon than the Ogre at the beginning of the game.
So does that make a simple Ogre more powerful than an Immortal High Dragon?
Has for the DLC .. They're just beefed up encounter to give player a bigger challenge for an expensive piece of 1 hours.
The most powerful canon wise would probably be Flemeth

I'm going to vote High Dragon. Hadn't even had much a challenge using my Arcane Warrior throughout the whole game. A sparse reload now and then, mostly to experience different dialogue combinations. Decided to take it on last night. WOWZA, that was FUN!
Bob and weave. Duck and roll. Other side, other side, move out of the way again. Very tough.

The Harvester can be canon depending on whether or not you want the dlc.Suprez30 wrote...
