There has never been a "patch". That was a misnomer. It's a just a repack of the original that (presumably) includes some updated files. Both the EXE and the DAZIP are just shy of 1GB. You'd be better off just downloading the DAZIP and manually installing it.

Ah good to know. I did see the similar file sizes but thoguth it was better to check.

Went for the .EXE personally as i find its a better way to install DLC.

All I want is my end of game save. I did a play through using a post-coronation save just to have the right dialog options. Maybe I should of gone with PC for DA....

The Official update thread needs updating Fernando! I have gazed at it for 11 days hoping to hear some news. Clicking on your name however took me to a list of your recent activity and I found this thread . I gave up in the end and had the ending I didn't want. Hoping I can re-play it soon. This is sooooo lame.

Ps. Can't wait for DA2, it looks amazing, and after multiple play throughs of DA:O, I'm looking forward to a new style of gameplay/visuals.

Your demands will be met with more silence. It appears all they are waiting on is for MS and Sony to get off their lazy butts and certify the patch. I hope next gen the certification process can be a bit easier, the way it is now is seriously inefficient, takes forever, and horrible for gamers in general. If the game needs patched, let the company patch it. Patch rules and red tape are retarded on the consoles.

Well, I know with Microsoft that if a game has multi-player and is popular, it gets through certification quickly. If the game is not very popular and is single player, it takes longer.

Always take into account that new games get higher priority as well as more serious fixes.

Most likely, this is counted as a low priority fix and it can't be helped that the game has been out for a while.

Basically, from quickest to slowest, this seems to be the priority :

Very popular with multi-player > very popular single player > made or published by Microsoft > decent popularity multi-player > unpopular multi-player > decent popularity single player > unpopular single player.



So, it's at a level 6 out of 7. You bet it will take time, something like 2 weeks minimal.

I thought console patches were distributed via the consoles' servers, not Bioware.  The users would probably know about the patch release before Bioware did.

It's not.
It said exactly the same when I downloaded it on day 1. So, we're still waiting...

A patch certification takes a week with MS (Not sure about Sony). It's been now a month without anything. What Bioware can do is to contact MS and Sony and ask, or simply say: "It's still in certification. Sorry that it takes so long."

Source on a week? Don't bother because it's a made up statistic and nothing MS is bound to. Also while yes the DLC itself has been out for over a month the patch to fix it has not and calling MS and Sony non-stop for updates doesn't help anything except makes them second guess if they want to answer BW's calls

Learn a little patience, it's at the final stage and they will let us know when it is ready.

Though we have been doing exactly that. It's another thing that we want done as much as you do, but it takes time. When I do have news, I will update again.

anyone know anything about the windows stand-alone patch? i really don't want to have to download another 1gb file for what is probable a couple mb of fixes .... sorry to hear about the consoles not getting a patch either, looks like we're all in the same boat

wow, that was ... unfullfilling. i think i liked it better before the update, imagining all the answers i didn't get, which then after the update -i still didn't get. don't worry console guys, you aren't missing anything.
