EDIT 2: Yay, it finally installed.... through Trial and error it finally accepted my run command... no idea why it didn't work before though... As I did the same thing three times already... now let's just hope it actually works:wizard:

Thanks for your help ^_^

Glad you got it installed!  You should be able to tell if the fix "worked" by reloading your last Named Save and running through the final dialogue branch again.  If the autosave triggers at the end, you're good-to-go.

Where is this "nopatch" switch?

It isn't anywhere.  It's what you add on the end of the command line.  (And that's just a nickname for it.  The switch is "/skippatch".)  Read back in this thread and you'll find the instructions.

From the locked "seeking beta testers" topic ...

http://social.biowar...ndex/4731542/12

Fernando Melo states on page 12 just before Chris Priestly locked the thread:

"If you did remove WH completely (or in the future, if you re-install DAO), you will only be able to download v1.1 from now on from within the game or manually from your list of content here on social - we no longer point to 1.0. This means you will not need to get WH and then the update from now on - 1.1 is all you need."

This thread has info on checking to see if version 1.1 is installed:

http://social.biowar...8/index/5293180

"ok, looked in:Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\dao_prc_str\\manifest.xml and i see this:

1.1
GameVersion>1.04

guess that confirms it, too bad that isn't shown in the game"

...

I assume that the above solution was for Vista or Windows 7.

For Windows XP, in the "C:\\Documents and Settings\\Home User\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings" folder, I found that the "Manifest" and "Addins" xml files to be helpful in finding a reference to version 1.1 (although the "Addins" file also references version 1.0).

The "Addins" file shows:

<ReleaseDate>14/09/2010</ReleaseDate>

  <Version>1.1</Version>

Impossible to say.  Depends on your Warden's relationships with each of them.  (In other words, how strongly you, the player, feel about either learning Leli's backstory, or resolving your situation with Morri.)

I liked both a lot, and thought both were "too short" (WH  more so.)  There's more you have to "figure out" in LS, and the music is really fun!   Both have great new Companions, (in both cases I liked the Mage the best, but then I play a Rogue...)

One thing to recognize, LS  takes place totally outside the timeline of the rest of the DLC, so you could do it any time and not affect anything else.  If you want to "finish" your Warden's story before DA2  comes out, and won't be able to get both by March, go with Witch Hunt.

To determine which version of Witch Hunt  you have, just search in your:
".../Bioware/Dragon Age/addins/dao_prc_str" folder, and see if you find "patch000.erf".
If it's there, you have v1.1, (since 1.0 didn't have a patch!  )Posted Image

BTW:  Anyone have a guess what "str" is for?  I can figure out most of the other DLCs' file-naming patterns, but this one has me stumped! Posted Image )

@CodytheMan; I just went back through the last couple of pages and realized that you're on the PS3. Sorry, my advice about the stand-alone "DAO_WitchHunt.exe" ver 1.1 fix does not apply.

I don't know exactly how the patch gets installed for console platforms. I do know that Fernando Melo posted a notice in this thread when both Sony and MS notified BioWare that the patches were going onto their respective servers (MS's was over a week behind Sony's!)

It's alright, thanks for all the help you offered, though.  Guess I'm just SoL, haha.  I guess my data from Origins will have to suffice.

Sorry it isn't working for you yet.  I do know that thousands of PS3 players did get the update, and have "their choices from DA:O" reflected in their WH storylines.  Might check with Sony's tech support team (they have one, right?)

For anyone with Windows XP,  "patch000.erf" is in the "C:\\Documents and Settings\\Home User\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\dao_prc_str\\module\\patch" folder.

Sorry to necro this thread, but i've got the bug that was supposedly fixed on the 360. I downloaded WH about 2 weeks ago, and just played it now, where Morrigan says i denied her ritual, when i didn't.

How do i fix this? There is no prompt for a patch, although there were many for the vanilla game.

I really want to finish my character with the RIGHT ending, i just need to get rid of this bloody glitch.

EDIT: Okay for some reason it glitches when i import the character, but if i select a particular save from the character (Like the auto save after the Archdemon, and the Post-Coronation save) it recognises the DR. Why is this?

Should i select the Post Coronation save, or the Archdemon autosave? Will both still carry the epilogue of the game over?

Played through the final end with Morrrigan, followed her through the gate, will there be a follow up? What happens beyond? Curious:)

In italian witch -> strega.

It's only a guess..
Maybe ... :D

The Witch Hunt DLC in the Ultimate edition should therefore be updated to version 1.1 .

Really this DLC was a huge disappointment, even bigger than Amgarrak or Leiliana's Song. The gameplay and characters weren't bad leading up to Morrigan, but that whole speech with her and what you do afterword was rage-inducing.

Thank goodness Lair of the Shadow Broker came out that same day, it prevented the defenestration of my TV.

Have you tried using the "Stand-alone" version, rather than the in-game installer?
Link:  na.llnet.bioware.cdn.ea.com/u/p/eagames/bioware/dragonage/content/DAO_PRC_STR/DAO_WitchHunt.exe .

Use the "Save" option, so that you'll  have a complete copy on your HDD in case you need to re-install it later.

Also, there are reports of some folk having problems getting the stand-alone to install if game patch 1.04 is already present.  There's a work-around, but that's another reason you'll want the copy of  DAO_WitchHunt.exe locally.

I've updated to 1.1 and I'm running windows 7. However one game Morrigan has the correct dialogue when it comes the Dark Ritual while another save I just finished playing doesn't. I'm really confused to be honest. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this?

@Evilroxzy; What install do you have, retail disc? Steam? D2D?
