OK, I don't quite understand what's happening here. I've downloaded the patch and played through again, this time the game autosaves at the end. However, I STILL can't access anything Morrigan left. How do I see this stuff? What do I need to load to access it? If I load the autosave game it loads straight into the credits.Help!

Same here.

I believe the reward that Morrigan left us are the Witchcraft DLC items granted to all new and existing character files upon earning the Witch Hunter achievement.  First time playing through Witch Hunt, I got the achievement notification right after talking for the last time to Morrigan and naturally assumed that this was the reward she mentioned.

Of course, people are seeing "glittering" books on the ground and assuming that the reward is something else.  I could be wrong.  If so, the contents of these "glittering" books will probably be revealed in DA2.  Dołączona grafika

Think about it for a second.  Even if Morrigan left you a God-powerful item, when will your Warden be able to use it?  The end of Witch Hunt is the end of the line for the Warden.  No more story.  No more darkspawn to kill.  That's it.  So what would it matter if she left your Warden an item?

"Yes" to all the responses, and "Sorry" to all the queries.  What Morrigan leaves you (as DLC bonus items) are the robes and belt that will appear in your inventory if you load up a new or saved DA:O  or DA:A  game.  (I haven't tried with GoA  yet, and they don't appear in LS.)  What she leaves on the ground "in-game" is the book she "borrowed" from the Dalish.  (The one that they want back and came looking to find in the opening scene.)

And as we should all know by now, this is indeed "The End" for the Grey Warden.  Whatever ending you chose in WH  is the last one.  DA2  will not feature Morrigan, (confirmed through multiple BioWare writer statements, including Mr. D.G. himself at PAX.) but obviously it does  feature Flemeth, prominently!

There are, however, some hints (hints, mind you) of Morrigan in DA3!
Stay tuned...

Is DA3 confirmed or is it just some pipe dream by over-wishful players?

Oh whoa, wait! I've read too far into this thread- spoilers anyone? I thought this was supposed to be about the DLC update- well, I guess it's GREAT NEWS to hear that it's working [more] properly! I guess I'll just forget what I've read- hey! A poodle with a poofy tail!

Mostly wishful players.  The question of whether or not DA3 will be made is essentially answered, but not flat out confirmed.  Baring catastrophic failure, Bioware is going to continue the series.  But absolutely no detaisl have been released.  Vague assertions that they aren't done with Morrigan's story, suggesting she'll return, are all that have been dropped.  The assumption she'll be in DA3, while as likely as anything else at this point, is just an assumption.  Her next appearance for all we really know could be in DA2 DLC.

It was in the PAX Day 2 or Day 3 UStream  interview.  Each of those was about 30 minutes, and I didn't bookmark them, (Google is your friend.)  He was addressing a question about Flemeth being in DA2  and brushed aside the mention of Morrigan with a shrug and something along the lines of "but not her" ...  Since the questions were streaming from the internet on a monitor that he could see, but we (the audience) could not, it's a little difficult to know the exact context for the remark, but the implication was fairly clear.

See also DarkSpiral's comments regarding Morrigan in DA3, in an earlier post above.  Mine derive from sources with much the same level of detail (or lack thereof.)

I saw that the Autosave on the Ending of Witch Hunt, after the fix is named as The Nest.
Is it named like this to you guys?
I'm intrigued, I remember the nest at the end of Awakening, is this some sort of clue or I just missed something?

It works!...I think. And it wasn't necessary to replay the whole DLC (not that it would have taken any significant amount of time). Thank you BioWare.

It's called that because the default name for a DA  save is the LOCATION where the Party happens to be at the time.

If you look carefully, you'll see that the end of WH  takes place in the same setting ("programatically") as the battle with the Broodmother in DA:A.  Some changes in lighting and color palette (and no tentacles!) but it's the same "location", so the save gets the same name.

I don't think there's anything particuarly "meant" by that.  It was just a convenient spot to put the scene.  And they had to rush the release of ver 1.1 a bit, so I'm not sure anyone was particularly paying attention to the name.  They were probably just concentrating on making sure that the save happened at all!  Dołączona grafika

(And, of course, one can ask "Why bother?", since there's nothing you can *do* with that save anyway. But we'll see...)

Is there any updates as to when the ps3 patch will be out? And also is (will) DA:O Ultimate edition coming (come) out? Because the game is already listed in the coming soon titles of our local game shop.

Why... Yes, Virginia, there is  "word about consoles".

See: "Official Witch Hunt DLC Update":

At the link, it's the fourth post from the bottom...  (And if you BOOKMARK that link, you'll be able to get the info as soon as BioWare publishes it.)

For the latest on retail product release dates, see: http://dragonage.bioware.com/dao/ (the "News" tab.)

Took about 3 hrs to download. Had to do in the middle of the night with Hughes so as not to exceed my limit. After installing the ending was exactly the same. Didn't to se my warden go through the mirror. Is there still a bug somewhere? Tried to load the autosave at the end and it took me right back to the credits. Any ideas?

What did you "choose" as your  ending?

As far as the Warden going through the mirror, did Morri say, "Then come..."?
If not, (i.e. you aren't invited) then you don't get to.  Whether or not you can is based on both what you say and do there, in front of the Eluvian, and on what her approval level and relationship state with you (the imported Warden PC) was at the end of DA:O.  (If you did not import your Warden... Well, she is NEVER going to allow a stranger to accompany her!)

The WH  "fix" (ver 1.1) corrects the problem with (some) "post-epilogue" saves from DA:O.  Seems that if you kept playing after the ending (which you could do), the game-state for Morri was re-set to the defaults, instead of whatever that PC had actually done.

As far as the auto-save, that's exactly as-designed.  You now have a save that stores your end-state (character, equipment, and plot flags) as of the last moment of WH.  "Load" that save and you're at... the last moment of WH.

Sorry if this has been asked before.

How do I tell if the installation has gone well?

I did everything that was said on the first post.

But I don't get anything different.

I didn't have the bug to begin with, so I was wondering if there is a way to ascertain that WH1.1 is indeed installed correctly over WH1.

Thank you.

Also why does the dog don't give me the options to say to ti" We'll find Morrigan", or "We'll find the child"?

Anyone else had this ommission too?

Thanks again.

Check if you have an autosave at the ending of the game, just like in Origins. That'll do.

I still can't get it to work right. I tried 3 different wardens. I never have had the dog option at the beginning to say, we'll get the child. at the mirror morrigan talks about my child but always says I denied her the ritual. just like before 1.1. I have tried multiple different conversations with her. I just want to walk thru the mirror. Guess it's just not that big a deal. Grrr

What was her Approval Level and Relationship Status with your Warden(s) at the end of DA:O?
