Check if you have an autosave at the ending of the game, just like in Origins. That'll do.

If you have finished WH  since the reinstallation and have the end-game "Autosave - The Nest", then 1.1 installed correctly.

Don't quite understand your question. 

Are you confused because she relents based on a) the appropriate Approval Level and Relationship Status with the Warden at the end of DA:O, and then your insistence, (or whining, depending on one's perspective) to be allowed to accompany her?

Or are you confused because the snippets of dialogue don't (quite) hang together as realistically as one might wish in that most (real) people would need to insert considerably more "hemming" and "hawing" before changing their minds so completely?

Review the instructions on the BioWare site. 

If your browser does this "auto re-naming", just change it back to ".dazip" after it's saved on your local machine.

Well, that didn't work. I renamed it to .dazip. But the zipped file when you click open just shows contents. I unzipped it and the unzipped file just shows contents..
The Daupdater obviously doesn't install it. Something is wrong somewhere.. A zipped file means you have to extract the files inside. But all i see are contents.
I'll wait for the standalone option...if it ever appears.

I have done the update, but I experience no changes. Morrigan still tells me I denied her the DR. I know for sure I did not (wouldn't dare :-)). Anyone experiencing the same?



I am a Steam user BTW.

Wait, you have to do a couple of steps to get the DAUpdater to find, select, and install it.  None of them are "unzip it", but none of them are "automagic" with this one either. (That's the reason for "We're still working on a standalone-install version" that BioWare mentions in the thread.)

Here are the instructions (I highlighted some of the ones that might have thrown you):

To install Witch Hunt version 1.1:

• Log in to your Entitlements page on the Dragon Age social site (http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php) using the same account you used to purchase Witch Hunt.
• Find Witch Hunt in the list of Titles and click the More Info link for your platform.
• Right click on the download link and select "Save Target As", or the equivalent in your browser. Save the .dazip file to your computer.
• If your browser tries to rename it to a .zip file, rename it back to .dazip after download.
• Find the daupdater.exe application. It is usually located under \\bin_ship in your Dragon Age folder (for example: C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\daupdater.exe).
• Double click on it to open it.
• Click on "Select DAZIPs". [A button at the bottom of window]
• Navigate to where you have saved the .dazip file and open [double-click] it.
• Now the .dazip file will appear on the Install tab.
• Select it on the list and click "Install Selected." [A button at the bottom of window]

Once the installation is complete, you can return to your Witch Hunt playthrough wherever you left off. Morrigan will now respond correctly to your choices in the Dark Ritual plot and a savegame file will automatically be created at the module's end 

We are also working on a stand-alone installer, which can be used to install the update from Windows without using the DAUpdater utility. We will let you know when this install method is available.

Do you get the "atuosave" at the end?

Yep, the autosave is there. Another funny thing; the skin tone of both Morrigan and the female elf (forgot the name...) have turned dark...weird. I was hoping for a changed ending but did not expect this . Morrigan does mention my son is ok though. Only way you could have a son is by performing DR, right?

Yeah, in this case the zipping isn't to save space.  (Compiled files can't be compressed that way.)  It's just to package multiple files into ONE that can be linked, downloaded, stored, and then accessed (by programs like DAUpdater) in a preditcible manner.

This was posted in  "How Do You Convert .zip Files Into .Dazip Files?"


"The problem here is that your browser converts the .dazip file to a .zip file automatically, then  if you rightclick the name of the file AFTER downloaded  and select RENAME, it won't allow you to change the .zip part. At least that is my case. So you have to do that BEFORE downloading the file. Go to  http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php, Click More info PC. RIGHT CLick the DOWNLOAD link below. Select Save Target as... In the screen that appears, choose where you want youir file saved and then go down and click the right arrow where it says Save as type...  and select All files. Now click the arrow above this one where the name of the file appears, and it pops out a screen where you can select the DAO_PRC_STR_1.0.zip file and change the .zip extension to .dazip. Click the SAVE button.
That worked for me. Hope this helps. I know it's frustrating."

LOL. No mods I am aware of at least.......

Might have something to do with Steam perhaps? I'll do some more digging. Perhaps I should try and get a screenshot of the dark Morrigan uploaded to my profile (how is that for a DARK ritual ).

Okay this gone wrong? Morrigan with no baby even though I had Alistair do the ritual with her for my mage. am not going to play her all the way through from the origins just to correct the ending. and why is that dam status didn't remember, plus did anyone get willpower points when you read the book about how to increase the willpower.

Well, yes. From a plot-flag perspective, the DR must have occured for there to be a son for her to refer to in WH.  

And although Morri will  perform the DR with the Warden (or, of course, the "other candidates") even if her relationship status is not "In_Love", that would NOT explain any statement by her that implies or asserts that the DR was not done at all.  So I'm baffled.  Many (most? all?) of the folk I've seen posting on various forums who HAD the bug before v1.1, are reporting all is well after installing it.  (So... maybe you can double-check the end-state of the DA:O  Warden you imported?)

Still doesn't work for me..

It is in my Entitlements page, but in-game it is in available content and downloaded content (unauthorized)..



I work with steam, so reinstalling all content will not work either. I read that you need a specific order for downloading (extra content before certain patches) and with steam that's impossible.

As I mentinoed before If you boned Morrigan at some point during the game, but didn't do the DR, you get a non-god baby son. It's funny cause it burdens her more than it helps her this way looolll.

Unless you guys were in love and you can still go through the portal with her and having a relatively non-arch-demoned soul family.
