Regarding the son, you can only have a son walking around if you did the DR right?
K.R.,
Jan
No, you can have a normal son from time spent in camp with Morrigan.
edit: too slow.

The game did an auto save just before the credits rolled.......but when I reload the save....it went right to the credits. What are the new items you get?

Well, that didn't work. I renamed it to .dazip. But the zipped file when you click open just shows contents. I unzipped it and the unzipped file just shows contents..
The Daupdater obviously doesn't install it. Something is wrong somewhere.. A zipped file means you have to extract the files inside. But all i see are contents.
I'll wait for the standalone option...if it ever appears.

The update for witch hunt has one bug so far that I have found. when trying to enchant items with Sandel in the mages tower the enchant screen never fully loads and freezes the game.

Microsoft must be taking their sweet time.
I had the same feeling until last night, when I loaded up a "post--epilogue slides" save from a different character than my "main one", to test the v1.1 fix (v1.0 had been fine with my regular PC, but that one had followed "the usual path".)Zy-El wrote...
I don't think it's a problem. You don't get any new items per se. What you do get is the Witchcraft items for all of your new characters and existing characters who have not gone through WH.
Does it really matter whether or not your Warden got new items? After all, the Warden's journey is completed. A new mega-sword or thunder staff is not going to mean anything at that point. You're done. Your Warden has won a prize (ie the Witchcraft items) for everyone else that follows.
Now if the story-tellers had really wanted to give your Warden something lasting . . . maybe a cure to the darkspawn taint - that would have done the trick!

Anyway, I imported this Warden right into WH from DA:O, and am now having Sandal buff everything I brought with me from Denerim before I go chasing after the Swap Witch. (Inventory was almost full, so I have to alternate between buying runes and having him enchant things, then more runes, then more enchanting...)
So... after I have whatever denoument to WH I decide to pursue, I SHOULD be left with a Warden who I can import into DA:A and GoA for yet more Darkspawn squishing!
Thus making the "Witchcraft Bonus Items" actually useful

If you follow Victor Wachter´s instructions, you will have a Witch Hunt DLC with no issues. My final savegame there just worked with all the options involving Morrigan

It seems to me that Bioware are going downhill fast. They made a blunder with WH, try to correct it with a recode and put it out. Now a lot of people are having problems gettign the .zip altered to a .dazip so the updater can install it. I tried to rename it and this is the message i got from the updater>>>DAO_PRC_STR_1.1.dazip.zip is NOT a dazip file.
When you go to rename the file you don't see the .zip extension, therefore you can't delete it.
All you see is>>>DAO_PRC_STR_1.1
Just as well because it seems there are even bugs in this version.
Hence my first statement.
I'm waiting for the standalone.
What has happened in the Bioware camp? Why all the errors in all you do now?
Au contraire. There is no "canonical" (or programmatic) order to the post DA:O DLCs. NOTE: I said, "post" DA:O. Obviously there are several that fall inside the period of that game, (TSP, RtO, and WK.) But even so, you can complete DA:O before doing any of of those three, then go back after the Coronation to help Levi, free Shale, or build Cailan a pyre. One, (LS) pretty much does have to come "before" anything else, but that's about it.Zy-El wrote...

Ahh no . . . despite how powerful your Warden may be, s/he still cannot time travel. Chronologically, the story goes from Origins > Awakening > GoA > Witch Hunt.

Each DLC "stands in its own temporal frame." So, for instance, we never learn the address to which Jarrik Dace sends the letter asking for the Warden's help finding Brogan in Amgarrak. Was it to Vigil's Keep, or to Denerim?
