I am in the progress of starting up a mass effect pen and paper RPG and beeing one who is big on the tech side of things I am trying to get it all sorted for the SR2 Normandy (seeing I be using the same class)

Now about the only thing of which I could roughly determine the size was the airlock (looks around 2 by 2 meter) Now that is not realy the problem.

The problem is that different shots calculate to hugely different sizes. going from around 60M to a massive 280M!

Now looking at the Interior it is still different and hard to say, because the only shots that show us the interior compared to exterior are the short loading screens when you use the elevator.

All in all it is difficult to get some size mesurments going here and Bioware hasn't told us anythig iether (at least my search didn't turn up anything)

I myself taking into account the crew count and the fact it is a frigate would lean far more to the 60M in lenght, but than pulling some ME1 shots out of my mind with the normandy and taking into account this new one is almost twice as big, it could be 100-120M aswell.

What are thoughts on this small matter? I would love to hear some different opinions or perhaps even proof that my messurments are as bad as it can get. In the end I hope to get to a reasonable size for it which I can use. And yes this is important for a person like me :)

Thanks in advance,

Chiyeko

From the wiki:

In-game, the Normandy is substantially larger on the inside than on the outside.

Can't really help though.

been toying around more with the interior shots and taking that with the exterior game renders the 218m seems to be about accurate. still a lot bigger than I thought seeing a dread is only 800-1000M long 200M seems awfully big for a frigate, that would place cruisers at 400-600 or abouts.

A well it is fair to say size comparison has never been a big issue on the devs list in these games :)

From what I can remember, but can't find, one of the designers commented about the size of the sr 2. He stated something along the lines of there are heaps of windows just to add the the effect of size, so really the interior and exterior are very different. From that fact, it would be better not to compare the inside with the outside as it will always seem off. If anyone can find where I heard that from, that would be great
