Does anyone know of an efficient way to do this?
The wiki says you can compile a lip-synced computer generated voice for all the lines. Do you then just record your own VO while watching the characters' mouths in order for it to look right?
Has anyone found a better way to do this?

the wiki says you just replace the cpu generated voice .wav files with your own. but lip syncing might be tricky. having a record button would be handy.

Yeah I understand how to record audio. I'm talking about properly syncing your VO with the character's lips.

the engine will listen to your sound files and create lip syncing for it. it has to be seen to be believed, it's actually pretty friggin sweet.
You need to make WAV files that are 24000 Hz, 16 bit, mono. then you name them according to what link in the conversation they are. see here for more details:

It will do this only after your generated the robo voice for the line, or will it generate it from your actual VO .wav?

if you have your own recordings, it will use those. If not, it falls back on the robo lines. record your lines, put them in the override directory. Then Generate VO. it will say that it found your files, assuming they're recorded using the above settings.
Then Generate FaceFX for the lines. It will anylize your sounds, and generate lip mpotions. Then you can right click and Preview Line in the conversation, and watch a face 'speak' your lines.
