OK.. I just used a Mastercard to buy some points but on completion it says "an error in processing has occured please try again at a later time.  "

Any idea if my purchase actually went thru or is there something else wrong?
Hopefully it went trhu ... but hopefully not each of the 3-4 times I tried...

I'm having the same problem. After it gives you the error message, at the top of the screen you can click on the tab that says purchase history. There it will list your recent purchases. My last two attempts both say "rejected", although i am not sure why. The card I'm using is current, but it still doesn't go through.

ok... it's saying this.. but no idea if this has anything to do with it...

The card number is not unique for the given user

then refuses the card.

Not sure if this is my own doing tho... I wasn't sure if I put in the card number right and re did the card... but the same thing happened.

I've received this same message for three different credit cards now and on each card a $1 transaction is pending, which (having worked for a credit card company) means the information I entered was correct and the transaction should have gone through.

this sucks...same problem here, tried it severeal times today, error message keeps the same and the transaction failed. Any ideas? Seems this problem is not totally new, there are some posts about that in the forum.

Btw I got around 6 Messages in my Purchase History...I can only hope nothing went through, since I dont even got any points at all ...

well I got good news and bad news.. EA fixed my problem... B/F actually talked with them... solved it all ....I was super happy next day when he told me... but LOL!! never fails... he downloaded all the stuff thru his account... and well it's my game... and neither of us knew the DLC's are specific to a particular downloader.. so now he can't access them on his account cause he can't use my Cerberus network... and I can't use the DLC's on MY account.*rolls eyes* oh well.. life sux either he's gonna have to buy another cerberus network or find some way to use the DLC's on mine.. why does it always have to be difficult?

P.S. use the EA phone contact I think that's the best way that's what he did and they were really great he said.

I was able to purchase Bioware points twice on the EA site a few moments ago and the $1 transactions that were pending failed to go through.

I'm having the same problem. I've made one purchase which went fine but now when I try to order again using the same card I get this "The card number is not unique for the given user" thing with no further explanation. The card has only been used for one account so I don't know what the problem is. I also can't figure out how to email customer support to ask them about it. I'm new to all this so it may be there are perfectly obvious answers to all of this that I'm just missing.

Don't know if the issue is resolved yet, but have you saved your credit card info in your account. Try deleting the original saved information before you type in your new card's information, if your old card has expired or something. Or just use the saved credit card info. See if this resolves "The card number is not unique for the given user" problem.

I am having the same problem, I would just like to buy the points too buy the shadow broker dlc, but keep getting try again later=/
