 I'm sure most of you already know that A lot of the Mass Effect characters are face scanned. If you've ever wondered who the face of Samara/Moriinth is check out her Facebook page. http://www.facebook....ply#!/SamaraME2 The model currently started a fundraiser to help raise money for her Samara/Morinth costume. She has makeup artists lined up to help, but the materials are expensive. I want an autographed picture of her dressed as Samara! This is for a great cause. Had no idea she was a cancer survivor as well, and I know what visits like these mean to sick children. Perhaps for this year's Child's Play, we should be donating copies of Mass Effect 2 to the hospitals.

Yeah if she was just doing this for the fun of it I would think it was cool but probably wouldn't donate.  but when the hopes of kids are involved it make me feel all warm and fuzzy;)

Also donating ME2 to the sick children's hospitals does sound like a good idea, but it is a mature game...I guess as long as they don't donate the ME books.  I just got them last week and am now on Ascension and damn they are pretty graphic with the violence!  I am loving them so far though.

Yeah, I had no idea she was a cancer survivor either until she posted it on her fundraising page. She deserves this, in my opinion. If she's helped so many children and survived cancer, then it's time Mass Effect fans show her some love in return.

$5000? We're talking pro Hollywood rates? I'm pretty sure you could get the professional (looking) make up and costume for under a grand.



She mentioned having fought cancer and that she helps kids with cancer, which is cool, but I'd be more inclined to donate if I knew that it went to something more than just one person in a costume. Maybe have a group of kids get make up and costumes (not Mass Effect as it is R rated) and let them be space avengers for a day.

Very cool.  I hope she manages to get this together. Unfortunately I'm not going to have any spare cash to donate until I graduate college and even then its gonna be iffy with a philosophy/poli sci double major.

I think only Samara/Morinth, Sheploo, Liara and Miranda were face scanned.

I suppose it would be interesting to see how well hollywood makeup artists can do Asari since a ME movie is being made. I'm sort of skeptical about how well they can make the Asari, Krogan, and Turians look.



I wonder how they'll do the tendrils.

If you'd like a break down of potential costs I'd be more than happy to give that to you.. also talk to Holly Conrad about how much she spent on the costumes she made for Comic-Con She'll tell you $5000 will barely cover the cost of the materials..

Dunno about that, but I'd say at least an Asari mindmeld is in order.

Definitely will throw a bit of cash to get the photo and to just say "Thanks" for doing the character herself. Game is too awesome and Samara is definitely one of my more prefered characters in the game. (maybe its good you cant technically LI her because I dunno if my male sheps could manage to choose anyone else otherwise).

And since it does appear she's checking these forums, "Thanks for doing the character(s)" :happy:

Oh, Rana, you should know that your name has been used in the first Mass Effect game, twice. There is Kaidan's teen crush Rhana, and an asari on Virmire named Rana Thanoptis. Neat, huh?
