Mass Effect Characters Animated Gif Thread!
Due to the very nature of this thread, those with bandwidth restrictions and limitations should be advised: This thread is going to murder you, your bandwidth, and everything they love and hold dear. Please, think of the dial-up connections and cellphone users!
Since I have recently discovered a love for creating animated gifs of my favorite character (Legion, for those who can't tell
), I've decided to start this thread so we can all share and enjoy animated gifs of every character in the Mass Effect games without destroying the poor bandwidth of people browsing character threads. Therefor, any and all gifs of any characters are allowed, including spoilerish ones. Having said that, IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS FOR ANYTHING, INCLUDING DLC, PLEASE TURN BACK NOW!
Some helpful guidelines so we can all have a good time and not get this thread locked (please nooooo):
1. Try to only have five or so gifs per post. Yes, we're going to make some people's bandwidth weep, it's inevitable, but the least we could do is to try and make it not too severe!
2. If your gif exceeds 5mb in size, you should probably link it. Again, we're killing some bandwidth, but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. Plus, some people's computers can't handle that even if their bandwidth can.
3. If it isn't immediately obvious by the gif's contents, try and let us know where it comes from in the game! Likewise, if someone asks you, try to be helpful and answer as best you can. Sometimes this stuff is even more fun if we can go experience it personally
4. Don't post anything dirty. <_<
5. This isn't the place for Youtube videos. If you personally created a gif you're posting from a youtube video, then you can go ahead and link the video (don't inline it, please?) to indicate the gif's source, especially if you didn't create the video your gif is created from.
6. If you're posting a gif that you personally didn't make, try to give credit to the original author. If you don't know who made it, then indicate, to the best of your ability, where you found it (ex: Google search keywords, character thread and post# if possible, etc.).

How to make Animated Gifs
VirtualDub is a free movie editing program that can export as Gif from AVI format. No watermarks or logos are added to the exported gifs and it has nice color processing.
GifSoup lets you create animated gifs from Youtube videos. Recommended by FieryPhoenix7
