 I mean small screeming babies would add to the atmosphere. You would feel the anguish knowing what the horrible things the darkspawn could do to them and that would fuel your heroic desires to protect and kick hairy monsterbutts even more.
Somehow there is an genetic response for this, a deep psychological trigger inside of us...
I thought of it when I saw Metro 2033 trailer, the screaming children made me feel like damn I need to get there to save them:

I get enough of screaming babies in real life, I'd rather not have them annoy the crap out of me in game as well.

Dwarven men take care of the babies, they live in their beards and live off of the ale that trickles down to them. So babies are everywhere, stashed in every dwarfs beard. Save a dwarf, save a baby, simply as that.

I think it is something we should discuss we have never seen babies in an RPG. This is a mature topic. I´m serious so go **** your troll fantasies.
