Tali's father performed horrific and dangerous expiraments, in the hopes that it would help the quarians if they ever went to war with the geth. These expiraments came back to bite him in the ass however when the geth parts being expiramented on fought back. You know the rest.

Back at the flotilla we had to face the board that would judge tali. Tali before hand told me  not to incriminate her father, she did not want to see him get shuned. With a very high paragon score I had three choices. Blame it on tali but restore fathers honer, persuade the board that tali has already earned thier trust, and saving both tali's and her fathers loyalty. Or the choice I made revealing what tali's father did and making sure they know what would happen if they tried it again. I told them to forget the geth and move on, don't get in a war. I wanted them to know what tali's father did was wrong even if his heart was in the right place and sweeping it under the rug wouldn't solve anything. Tali rightly so was angry at me but I feel like I made the right choice, did I?

uh......no

the right thing to do is save Tali and Rael's honor and then reveal what you found out on theAlerey to the admiral voiced by Simon Templeman who will aknowledge what happened as an atrocity but not say a word to anyone

Let's see. You:

1) Traumatized Tali

2) Sent the Admiralty board into a state of chaos

Did you?

Tali's father was a monster, plain and simple.

I guess the driving point for me was to make sure the admiralty board knew what caused the geth attacks. I wanted them to know so they wouldn't just do the expiraments again. What would be the point of telling just one person. Everyone on the board needs to know why this was wrong. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

dude....you CAN let the admirals know WITHOUT getting Tali pissed off......you just need to talk to one of the admirals AFTER you save Tali's butt on the trial

While that does make sense, it also makes sense to postpone this controversy until after the fight with the Reapers.  Consider that you will have a much better chance of saving both Quarians and Geth if they don't fight a war before or during the Reaper invasion.

Well I didn't know that. But couldn't tell one that wouldn't tell anybody else?

It's more fun to get Tali exiled.

There was no reason to tell the rest of the board, because it was an isolated incident.

you can only tell to Admiral Gerrel, he will not smear Rael's name but he will take notice of what was going on which means now the admiralty KNOWS about the experiments and the atrocities committed by Rael and will learn from them but Rael Zorah will not go down in infamy

I find it more fun to call the Admiral's out on the real reason Tali is being put on trial. Posted Image

The email you get from Daro'Xen after not revealing the evidence indicates otherwise.

Does she still email you if you tell Gerrel about Rael after the trial?

The public doesn't deserve to know the truth.

Yes. After all Tali makes Gerrel promise not to tell anyone.

you made the right choice Morally, you told the truth. you did the wrong thing Ethically you back stabbed a friend and you divided a highly polarized admiralty board.

I wanted to tell them since it made sense to show them how dangerous this was, and the guy was dead. But the real problem was that Tali begged me not to do it. Seeing as how I would probably do whatever she asked, I couldn't ignore her.

It isn't Shepard's fault that Tali takes it so badly if you expose the truth.

Outing Tali's father for his crimes is the right and just thing to do.

Which ultimately establishes that Renegade is the right, just, and overall morally superior path.

It isn't that he revealed the truth. It's the fact that he practically doomed her race to extinction!

You talk to her after revealing the evidence and she tells you that by revealing the evidence you split the fleet up into different factions, completely screwing over her entire species.

I'm sorry, but by revealing the evidence, it makes you a complete monster.

Shepard never could have predicted the fleet would break apart. In any case breaking apart the fleet doesn't doom the race to extinction.
