You know, people are complaining alot about the paraphrasing system in ME and worrying that it will be the same in DA2, but to be honest, even with DA:O's system, there were still times where I was surprised at the reaction to my text selection.
hopefully the 'mood' icon will help a bit for that.
Does anything we do matter?

Agreed. From Zevran thinking I was gay for him and then having to put him down for good after rejecting him, to certain characters getting really POed at me for what I thought was a sarcastic statement in their favor, the DA:O system certainly had its flaws as well.

I agree. I think it will work. The text selection in Origins wasn't perfect. There were times that i could be nice and an **** in an INSTANT!!!
Anyway, it's too early to make a full judgment of DA2 but the explanation of the devs of the paraphrase system gave me a lot of optimism about the changes. I'd rather be hopeful/optimistic about the game than act like a knee-jerker with a deep sense of entitlement demanding that Bioware should do this, do that or else thinking that i know how to make a game better than them .

Well in DA:O at times you had 6 choices of which 2 were changing the approval positive or negative and 4 were just neutral blah blah. I don't really like choices that the game doesn't remember. Because ... why have them if they are irrelevant the moment you clicked them?
