Do people already know about this?

I just played Jacob's loyalty mission AFTER passing through the omega relay.
At the Jacob's of the mission, Miranda shows up during a cut scene in the briefing room to tell him that she was the one who found out about the Gernsback.  The thing is... Miranda was DEAD at the time. She was killed in the Omega relay!

It made the scene extra creepy when a hologram suddenly appears of a dead woman!!
Was this oversite/glitch already known?

Oversite probably. I've never done any loyalty missions after the Suicide missions (But then again I always like to make sure my team mates survive)

Haha, I never tried that!

Jacob: Fine, you didn't forward it. So who did?
*chains rattling*
Miranda: It was meeeeeeeeeee....

ME2 was originally supposed to end after the suicide mission but from some reason Bioware opted to change their plans and let the players roam around after the last mission.

This was probably not the best idea with all the continuity errors that followed.

"Some reason" = "DLC"

Which I have no problem with, Lair and Overlord both did a great job with a post-SM storyline.

I wonder if Jack and Miranda can still have a throwdawn after both loyalty missions are done and one is dead?

Yes, I heard about this before. Kind of amusing. That woman really IS impossible to kill...

I think bioware assumed everyone would do the loyalty missions before going through the omega-4 relay.

Or at least, not do any after.

Or at the VERY least, not get Miranda killed and have Jacob survive while Jacob is disloyal, then do his loyalty mission.

Considering all the other variables they did account for, I'm willing to let this one slide. I mean come on, it's Jacob, who cares if his mission is jacked up.

Why caring if the story has plot holes? Or if the animations aren't good? Or if you can fly around and being stuck in the sky? Or if Bioware tell you that you have liberty to decide your actions, but in reality you don't?

Your personal taste about the characters doesn't count, BTW.

Jeez... <_<

Sure it does. Watch: Jacob is boring, therefore there's no reason to patch his mission.

Hey, it's working!

Lamer would have been to cut off the game completely after omega-4 and prevent any use of post-omega-4 DLC or catching up of loyalty/side missions.

This. The Reapers are YEARS away anyway - they can't use the Dark Space relay, so they have to rely on conventional FTL to get back to the network. So why shouldn't you have some time to zip around and probe Uranus?

Jacob: So if you didn't send me the email, who did?
TIM: I don't know.
Shepard: I don't know either.
Jacob: Guess we'll never know.
TIM: Indeed.
Shepard: Yup.

"Anyone miss Miranda?"
"Nope."
"Nah."

I was trying a Renegade playthrough to have Shepard be the worst Commander ever.  I intentionally failed nearly all of the loyalty missions or skipped them, and skipped all of the ship upgrades.

After the Omega 4 disaster, 10 squad mates were dead, and the entire crew.
I still ended up with 2 survivors somehow:  Disloyal Jacob, and Disloyal Samara.  So my Normandy is now awefully quiet with just Jacob, Samara and Joker aboard.

Maybe I'll finally get around to updating the Normandy now that it's too late.  just to see what happens with those upgrades in ME3...

So, caring about continuity is not a issue?

I arrest my case.

And this is the main audience of the game nowdays... :crying:

From what I've read, you cant leave Zaeed to die if you've only got 2 squad mates left. That option does not show up.
