I'll be disappointed if it doesn't happen after all the hype themselves created but if it indeed happens, I think I'm buying BG saga for the 3rd time:D.

I hate discs so I might have to bite even though I've yet to play BG for more than an hour. Steam would be much better though. My only experience with GOG was dreadful.
I use steam allot as well but my experience with Steam + older games is a little awkward. Specifically for BG I'd prefer to see it on GoG, of course best route is to see on both. Two distribution channels == price competition == win for the customer.

Just BGI and TotSC? I was really hoping for digital copies of BG2 and ToB, since those are my favorites. But I might end up picking this one up anyways.
Give them time. They said this is only the beginning. I'm betting BG2 and ToB are in the queue.

It's now official. Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga is making it to GoG. That's the compiled re-release that came out a few years back. It's Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast. The asking price is $9.99 for the game, two manuals, wallpapers, soundtrack, artwork, ect. Basically what came with the packaged version and a bunch of extras. It will also work on Windows XP, Vista, and 7.
Pretty awesome, and I was just wondering on what needless stuff I'll blow my credit this month

It's likely that they will eventually get BG2 and ToB. But who knows. All depends on how their agreements are with black isle / bioware / interplay.
Also, D&D games are a big deal, they want to give em to us in doses, not all at once. After all, we deserve a treatment for proper addicts

In case there is somebody here yet to buy this masterpiece..well, BUY IT! With half a dozen well chosen mods BGI transforms into one of the best RPGs you are likely to play, ever!
...Considering the sheer quality of those mods and how their core pieces require both BG I and II installed, it would have been a tactful move from GOG to release entire saga at one go. I wonder if there will be complications when trying to fix a peaceful marriage between Tutu+Gog's BGI+Cd versions of Shadows Of Amn&TOB.

Never tried gog, yet. I assume all games there are the English version? I would LOVE to get my hands on BG2+ToB in English. Oh, and not needing to fetch the CDs everytime I want to kill some Mind Flayers would be great to.
All releases are DRM free English versions. Games are always fully patched. Official expansions,in case such exist, are always included. Games released are always optimized and tweaked with modern operating systems in mind.
GOG is very impressive and surprisingly bulls**t free service. In Gog, you don't have to buy vague " points" that only exist to screw you over like EA and online stores of various consoles force you to do. Instead, everything always costs either 6 or 10 dollars. If you use Euro or any other currency, the price tag is accurately converted. Sadly we live in a world where this too, is a feature online shopper needs to be grateful of. Certainly after encountering Steam's "hehe, we converted the 19 dollars pricetag to 19E since err..it is more simple to consumers that way! kthx:D P.S I don't use lube.." - approach.
Never experienced any difficulties with reliability of the site or download service.
.....Except now:p They are in process of revamping their service so the login servers and site as a whole is acting up.
